Darbs sastāv no ievada, piecām nodaļām.
The purpose of the study is to find out the level of stress and hardening habits of health practitioners. The main problem of the research is stress, which affects the mental health and quality of life of society. The sample of the study is health practitioners, because the complexity and dynamic nature of health work exposes employees to high levels of work-related stress. One solution to these problems could be to incorporate hardening procedures into people's daily lives. Swimming in ice-cold water has been shown to have a positive effect on a person's mental health and may even have antidepressant effects. The work consists of an introduction, five chapters. The work has 35 pages, 12 pictures, 23 sources of information and three appendices. The research data collection tool is a questionnaire, the purpose of which is to obtain demographic data and information about the hardening habits of health practitioners, as well as a tool developed by the authors, with the help of which stress symptoms can be determined. Descriptive statistics and closing statistics were used to analyze the data to test the study hypothesis. The study found that there was no association between the level of stress experienced by physicians and hardening methods such as bathing in cold water and going to the sauna. The main results reveal that taking a contrast shower reduces stress levels and can have a detrimental effect on a person's mental health.
