Psihologu profesionālās identitātes aspektu saistības ar izdegšanu specifika.

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai pastāv saistība starp profesionālās identitātes aspektiem un izdegšanu psihologiem. Tika izvirzīti pieci pētījuma jautājumi, kas ļāva izpētīt profesionālās identitātes un izdegšanas aspektus, un kopēju konceptu saistību, kā arī abu mainīgo saistību, ja tiek kontrolēts profesionālās pieredzes ilgums. Tika izpētītas arī atšķirības profesionālās identitātes un izdegšanas aspektos abās profesionāļu grupās. Darbā tika aplūkota Deivida Berlinera (David Berliner) profesionālās identitātes attīstība (Berliner, 1994) un Kristīnas Maslakas (Christina Maslach) un kolēģu izdegšanas trīsdimensiju modelis (Maslach et al., 1997). Pētījumā piedalījās 180 dalībnieku – 90 psihologu, vecumā no 25 līdz 68 gadiem (M = 42,10, SD = 9,27) un 90 citu profesionāļu, vecumā no 18 līdz 60 (M = 32,90, SD = 11,48). Respondenti, vietnē visidati.lv, laika posmā no 24.01.2022-22.02.2022, aizpildīja sociāldemogrāfisko aptauju, “Psiholoģiskās palīdzības sniedzēju profesionālās identitātes aptauju” (PPS PI V2) (Professional Identity Questionnaire for Psychological Help Providers, Akmane, Mārtinsone, Krieķe, Perepjolkina, Drunka & Kolmane, 2021) un “Maslakas izdegšanas aptauju” (Maslach’s burn-out questionnaire. General questionnaire, Maslach, Jackson, Schaufeli, Schwab & Leiter, 1996; adaptāciju latviešu valodā veica Caune, 2004). Pētījuma rezultāti uzrādīja, ka gandrīz visi profesionālās identitātes aspekti statistiski nozīmīgi saistās ar izdegšanas apektiem, atklājot arī ciešāko saistību starp skalām “Profesionālā efektivitāte” un “Profesionālais pašvērtējums un pašefektivitāte” (rs = 0,56, p < 0,01). Kontrolējot profesionālās pieredzes ilgumu psihologu izlasē, gandrīz visi profesionālās identitātes aspekti statistiski nozīmīgi saistās ar izdegšanas apektiem, atklājot ciešāko saistību skalām “Cinisms” un “Apmierinātība ar darbu” (pr = -0,66, p < 0,01). Starp abām izlasēm statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības tika konstatētas skalās “Apmierinātība ar darbu”, “Profesionālā attīstība un pilnveide”, “Profesijas ilgtspēja” un “Zināšanas par profesiju” (p < 0,01). Tika secināts, ka, neatkarīgi no vecuma vai darba stāža, abās profesionāļu grupās kopumā izteiktāki profesionālās identitātes rādītāji ir saistīti ar zemākiem izdegšanas rādītājiem. Pētījums var sekmēt profesionālās identitātes koncepta attīstību psiholoģiskās palīdzības sniedzēju vidū, tādā veidā, iespējams, pievēršot lielāku uzmanību izdegšanai darba vietā.

The aim of the study was to find out whether there is a connection between professional identity aspects and burn-out in psychologists. Five research questions were stated that allowed to explore the relationship between professional identity and burn-out aspects, and the concepts in general, as well as the relationship between the two variables while controlling the length of professional experience. There differences of professional identity and burn-out aspects in both professional groups were also examined. The development of David Berliner's professional identity (Berliner, 1994) and Christina Maslach’s and colleagues’ three-dimensional model of burn-out (Maslach et al., 1997) were examined. 180 participants participated in the study – 90 psychologists, aged 25 to 68 (M = 42,10, SD = 9,27), and 90 other professionals, aged 18 to 60 (M = 32,90, SD = 11,48). Respondents, on the website visidati.lv, in the period from 24.01.2022 to 22.02.2022, filled in a socio-demographic survey, “Professional Identity Questionnaire for Psychological Help Providers” (PPS PI V2) (Professional Identity Questionnaire for Psychological Help Providers, Akmane, Mārtinsone, Krieķe, Perepjolkina, Drunka & Kolmane, 2021) and “Maslach's burn-out questionnaire” (Maslach’s burn-out questionnaire. General questionnaire, Maslach, Jackson, Schaufeli, Schwab & Leiter, 1996; adaptation in Latvian: Caune, 2004). Almost all aspects of professional identity are statistically significantly related to burn-out aspects, also revealing the closest connection between the scales “Professional efficacy” and “Professional self-esteem and self-efficacy” (rs = 0,56, p < 0,01). Controlling the length of professional experience in psychologists’ profession, almost all aspects of professional identity are statistically significantly related to burn-out aspects, revealing the closest connection between the scales “Cynism” and “Job satisfaction” (pr = -0,66, p < 0,01). In both samples statistically significant differences were found in scales “Job Satisfaction”, “Professional Development and Improvement”, “Sustainability of the Profession” and “Knowledge of the Profession” (p < 0,01). It was concluded that, regardless of age or length of professional experience, in both professional groups, more developed professional identity indicators are related to lower burn-out rates. The research may promote professional identity development among psychological help providers, possibly, drawing more attention to burn-out in the workplace.
