Abstract

Projekts autorfotogrāfijā “Pamestie padomju kultūras nami mūsdienās” ir radošais darbs, kurš aktualizē tēmu par pamestām sabiedriskām ēkām, kuras celtas vai izmantotas laikā, kad Latvija bija Padomju Savienības sastāvā. Šis projekts sastāv no 15 attēlu fotosērijas ar dažādām Latvijā atrodamām lokācijām, kuras kādreiz piedāvāja kultūras izklaides pilsētas vai pagasta, vai ciema iedzīvotājiem, kas dzīvoja tuvumā šai ēkai, bet šobrīd ir kritiskā stāvoklī. Mērķis šādam projektam ir aktualizēt ēku bojā eju, izprotot kāpēc Latvijā ir tāda vienaldzība pret šīm celtnēm. Caur šo runāt par mūsu kā tautas attieksmi pret laiku, kuru pavadījām zem PSRS. Un pēdējais no mērķiem ir, atklāt jaunu tūrisma veidu, izmantojot dotās vēstures sekas mums par labu, aicinot ceļot laikā, apmeklējot pamestos kutlūras namus. Lai šos mērķus sasniegtu tiek apkopota, analizēta teorētiskā bāze no kuras izriet fotosērija. Šajā teorijā tiek apskatītas divas tēmas. Viena no tām ir padomju gadi Latvijā to ietekme, mērķi un sekas, padziļinātāk to pētot caur arhitektūras, kultūras prizmu. Un otrs temats, kas tiek izzināts ir drupu fotogrāfija jeb, termins ar kuru bieži sastapsimies šajā darbā, ruin porn, kas atklāj mūsdienu fenomenu no kurienes tas cēlies, kā tas ierakstās mākslas kanona un kas tur ir tik pievilcīgs, intriģējošs. Fotosērijas koncepts sastāv no idejas pirmsākumiem, lokāciju meklēšanas un apkopošanas, vizuālās identitātes izstrādāšana, ņemot labus prakses piemērus par pamatu, kā arī pamatojot tehnisko nodrošinājumu, kāds tika izmantots uzņemot fotogrāfijas. Šis ir stāsts par sāpīgo, tajā pašā laikā ikdienišķo Latvijas vēsturi 20.gadsimtā un ko no šīm vēstures sekām mēs varam iegūt.

Project in author photography “Abandoned Soviet Union houses of culture nowadays” is a creative work that raises awareness of abandoned public buildings that were built or used during the time, when Latvia was part of the Soviet Union. This project consists of a photo series of 15 images with various locations found in Latvia, which once offered cultural entertainment to the people (inhabitants) of a town, parish or village, but is currently in critical condition. The aim of this project is to actualize the destruction of buildings, understanding why there is such indifference to these buildings in Latvia. Through this, talk about the attitude of our people towards the time we spent under the USSR. And the last of the goals is to discover a new type of tourism, using the consequences of history to our advantage, inviting us to travel through time, visiting abandoned houses of culture. In order to achieve these goals, the theoretical basis is summarized and analysed which the photo series follows. This theory addresses two topics. One of them is the Soviet years in Latvia, their influence, goals and consequences, studying it in more depth through the prism of architecture and culture. And the second topic that is being explored is the photography of ruins, or the term we often come across in this work, ruin porn, which reveals the modern phenomenon from where it originated, how it enters the canon of art, and what is so appealing, intriguing about ruins. The concept of the photo series consists of the origins of the idea, the search and compilation of locations, the development of a visual identity based on good practice and justifying the technical support used to take the photos. This is a story about the painful and yet at the same time mundane history of Latvia in the 20th century and what we can get from these consequences of history.
