| lv-LV |
dc.description.abstract | Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of morbidity and mortality throughout the industrialized world. Atherosclerosis is a chronic, inflammatory disease of the arteries that is the most common pathophysiological cause of cardiovascular disease. There are different types of atherosclerotic disease, including ischemic stroke, coronary heart disease, and peripheral artery disease. Environmental and genetic factors have been implicated in the development of atherosclerosis in epidemiological studies. It is widely recognized that occupational stress has significant implications for workers, employers, and economies. It is important that occupational stress is effectively managed by human resource practitioners who are increasingly concerned with ensuring that human resource practices facilitate positive employee attitudes and performance. In this literature review, there will be an attempt to emphasize the studies that have examined the relationship between the organization of work and cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. In addition, there will be a revision of prevention methods regarding the occupational atherosclerosis. | en-UK |
