Dzemdību un pēcdzemdību perioda pieredze sievietēm ar redzes invaliditāti.

Abstract

Latvijā sievietes ar redzes invaliditāti savu dzemdību un pēcdzemdību perioda pieredzi vērtē gan kā pozitīvu, gan negatīvu. Ir dažādi apstākļi, kas ietekmējuši respondentu pieredzi atrodoties dzemdību nodaļās. Pētījumā neredzīgu sieviešu pieredzi dzemdību un pēcdzemdību periodā ietekmējuši gan iekšējie apstākļi, kas ir ģimene, gan ārējie faktori (slimnīcas vide, personāla attieksme, sabiedrība uztvere), kas atspoguļo pašu dalībnieču pieredzi un veselības aprūpes sistēmas nepilnības. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt un aprakstīt dzemdību un pēcdzemdību perioda pieredzi sievietēm ar redzes invaliditāti. Pētījuma metode tika veikta kā kvalitatīvs pētījums, tajā piedalījās sešas Latvijā dzīvojošas sievietes ar redzes invaliditāti, kas pieredzējušas dzemdības un pēcdzemdību periodu. Analizējot respondentu pieredzes var secināt, ka neredzīgas sievietes nav apmierinātas ar perinatālās aprūpes kvalitāti, slimnīcas telpas un slimnīcas personālu, kas nav piemērotas sievietēm ar redzes invaliditāti. Intervijas noslēguma jautājumos respondenti dalījušies ar ieteikumiem kā uzlabot aprūpes kvalitāti sadarbībā ar sievietēm kurām ir redzes invaliditāte. Apkopojot un analizējot intervijās iegūtos datus ar interpretatīvās fenomenoloģiskās analīzes metodi, tika izvirzītas 5 galvenās tēmas: atbalsts, sociālā stigma, dzemdību un pēcdzemdību perioda aprūpe, mobilitāte slimnīcas telpās un respondentu ieteikumi par aprūpes uzlabošanu. Latvijā šis bija pirmais pētījums, kas atklāj dzemdību un pēcdzemdību perioda pieredzi sievietēm ar redzes invaliditāti. Pētījums parāda neredzīgu sieviešu skatījumu uz viņu pieredzi mainot sabiedrības attieksmi un stereotipus par sievietēm ar redzes invaliditāti. In Latvia, women with visual impairments evaluate their experience of childbirth and the postpartum period as both positive and negative experiences. There are various circumstances that have influenced the respondents' experience of being in maternity wards. In the study, the experience of blind women during childbirth and the postpartum period was influenced by both internal family and external factors (hospital environment, staff attitude, society and its perception), which reflect the participants' own experiences and health system failures. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to analyze and describe the experience of childbirth and the postpartum period for women with visual impairments. The research method was performed as a qualitative study, in which six women with visual impairments living in Latvia who had experienced childbirth and the postpartum period participated. In general, analyzing the respondents' experiences, it can be concluded that blind women are not satisfied with the quality of perinatal care, hospital facilities and hospital staff, which are not suitable for women with visual impairments. In the closing questions of the interview, the respondents shared suggestions on how to improve the quality of care in cooperation with women with visual impairments. Summarizing and analyzing the data obtained in the interviews with the method of interpretive phenomenological analysis, 5 main topics were raised: support, social stigma, maternity and postnatal care, mobility in hospital premises and respondents' recommendations for improving care. In Latvia, this was the first study to reveal the experience of childbirth and the postpartum period for women with visual impairments. The study shows blind women's views on their experiences of changing societal attitudes and stereotypes about women with visual impairments.
