The title of the bachelor’s paper is " Patients awareness of COVID - 19 preventive safety measures". Aim of this research is to find out patients awareness of COVID - 19 preventive safety measures. The qualification paper has four chapters – theoretical, practical part of research, research results and analysis of research results. The work consists of 67 pages and 20 appendix. 35 literature sources were used in the study. In the theoretical part information was collected about COVID - 19, its symptoms, prevention, the importance of awareness for stopping COVID - 19 and the availability of information on COVID - 19 to the public. In the practical part of the research, a structured questionnaire in Latvian compiled by the author was used. Fisher's exact test was used to determine the relationship between patients' socio-demographic parameters. The obtained results indicate that there is a statistically significant association. Taking into account the obtained results, it was concluded that the proposed hypothesis was confirmed because there are significant associations between socio-demographic indicators - age, gender and education. Based on the obtained results, it can be concluded that the younger respondents are more informed about COVID - 19 preventive safety measures than older respondents. Respondents who work are also more aware of COVID - 19 preventive safety measures than those who do not. On the other hand, respondents with primary education are less informed about COVID - 19 preventive safety measures than respondents with higher and secondary education. Women are more aware of COVID - 19 preventive safety measures than men. Keywords – COVID - 19, information, patients, prevention, safety.
