Abstract: 2 ANOTĀCIJA Pasaules Veselības organizācija (PVO) 2020. gadu noteica par māsas un vecmātes gadu, atzīmējot 200 gadus kopš mūsdienu māsu prakses dibinātājas Florence Nightingale dzimšanas.
3 ABSTRACT The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and Midwife, marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing practice. The well-being of health professionals, especially nurses, has changed since the global COPID-19 pandemic in 2019. The disease is also spreading in healthcare facilities. The COVID-19 pandemic took over the world. The working conditions of the nurse became more difficult due to high responsibilities and increased levels of stress in the care of the disease, which affects their well-being while continuing to perform their job responsibilities. Nurses needed to be able to adapt to the conditions created by the new virus, as they are the first to come into contact with patients and are themselves at risk in the face of this new pandemic, which is spreading rapidly and has little experience in treatment. (Hancock, 2020). At the end of April, the International Council of Nurses (ICN) reported that there was strong evidence that nurses were experiencing unprecedented levels of stress in the performance of their duties. Nurses experience high stress response syndrome, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, exacerbations of chronic disease, and burnout. Working at a high level of stress does not allow the nurse to feel comfortable in her daily work duties. Physical, mental, emotional and financial well-being affect employee engagement, loyalty, work efficiency, as well as team unity and overall productivity. (Baker, 2019). The aim of the study was to compare the changes in nurses' well - being within 2 months of working in COVID - 19 and the factors influencing it - emotional, social, health and environmental. In order to achieve the aim of the study, a quantitative longitudinal study was conducted using a questionnaire, which was repeated to compare the influencing factors in the changes in the well - being of nurses when planted under COVID - 19 conditions. The study respondents were nurses working in x hospital COVID - 19 to achieve the goal of the study. Respondents were selected using non-probable samples with the criterion that only those respondents who work in x hospital as nurses can participate in the study. A total of 56 respondents were interviewed, ranging in age from 22 to 65 years (M = 44; SD = 11.4), with an average length of service of 17 years (M = 12.8). The bachelor's thesis contains 28 tables, 5 figures and 21 references. The volume of the work without appendices is 36 pages and with appendices 48 pages. Keywords: well-being, nurse, influencing factors - emotional, social, health and environmental.
