Sociālās problēmas vecāka gadagājuma cilvēkiem Covid-19 vīrusa izraisītās pandēmijas laikā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba ,,Sociālās problēmas vecāka gadagājuma cilvēkiem Covid-19 vīrusa izraisītās pandēmijas laikā‘’ pētījums ir izstrādāts ar mērķi izpētīt Covid-19 vīrusa pandēmijas radītās sociālās problēmas un risinājumus vecāka gadagājuma cilvēku vidū. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no divām daļām. Pirmā ir teorijas daļa, kurā ir aprakstīts Covid-19 vīruss, tā izraisītās sekas, Covid-19 vīrusa pandēmijas sekas cilvēku vidū, Covid-19 vīrusa izraisītās pandēmijas sekas un risinājumi vecāka gadagājuma cilvēku vidū ārzemēs un Latvijā, ir aprakstīts vecāka gadagājuma cilvēku mērķgrupas raksturojums, aprakstītas novecošanas dimensijas, apskatītas sociālo problēmu definīcijas, apskatītas Covid-19 vīrusa izraisītās pandēmijas sociālās problēmas, aprakstītas sociālās problēmas ar kurām saskaras vecāka gadagājuma cilvēki. Otrā ir pētnieciskā daļā, kurā tika izmantotas anketēšana un daļēji strukturētas pētniecības metodes. Kā arī, balstoties uz atklāto pētījumā, darba autore ir izstādājusi ieteikumus Covid-19 vīrusa izraisītās pandēmijas sociālo problēmu risinājumam. Anketēšanas mērķis bija noskaidrot Covid-19 vīrusa izraisītās pandēmijas sociālās problēmas vecāka gadagājuma cilvēkiem. Kopumā tika anketēti 19 Saldus sociālā dienesta klienti, kas bija 60+ gadu vecuma grupā. Galvenie iekļaušanas kritēriji bija: personai jābūt 60+ vecuma grupā, kā arī jābūt sociālā dienesta klientam. Intervijas mērķis bija noskaidrot sociālo darbinieku novērotās sociālās problēmas un to risinājumus, ar kurām ir saskārušies vecāka gadagājuma cilvēki pandēmijas laikā. Daļēji strukturētajā intervijā piedalījās Saldus sociālā dienesta sociālā darbiniece, kas strādā ar pilngadīgām personām. Pētījumā tika secināts, ka vecāka gadagājuma cilvēki visbiežāk vēršas sociālajā dienestā, lai iegūtu maznodrošinātas, trūcīgas personas statusu, kā arī, lai saņemtu pabalstus. Problēmas, ar kurām visbiežāk ir saskārušies vecāka gadagājuma cilvēki pandēmijas laikā ir: samazināts, pārtraukts kontakts ar radiniekiem, draugiem; baiļu un trauksmes sajūta; apgrūtināta medicīnas pakalpojumu un medikamentu saņemšana; sociālā izolētība un nomāktības sajūta. Visvairāk vecāka gadagājuma cilvēkiem problēmu risinājumā ir palīdzējuši radinieki un sociālais dienests. Lai risinātu klienta problēmas, tiek izskatīts individuālais gadījums un piemeklēti atbilstoši risinājumi. Pandēmija ir ietekmējusi vecāka gadagājuma cilvēku dzīvēs. Tā ir ne tikai izraisījusi dažādas jaunas problēmas, bet arī saasinājusi jau iepriekš esošās.

The bachelor's thesis „Social problems among the elderly during Covid-19 virus pandemic” has been conducted with the aim to study Covid-19 virus pandemic caused social problems and solutions among the elderly. The bachelor's thesis consists of two parts. The first part is theory, which describes the Covid-19 virus, its consequences, the consequences of Covid-19 virus pandemic among people, the consequences and solutions of Covid-19 virus pandemic among the elderly abroad and in Latvia, describes the elderly target group, describes the dimensions of aging, review the definitions of social problems, review the social problems caused by the Covid-19 virus pandemic and describe the social problems faced by the elderly. Second is the research part, in which questionnaire and semi-structured interview research methods were used. As well based on the findings of the study, the author has issued recommendations for solving the social problems of the Covid-19 virus pandemic. The aim of the questionnaire was to find out the social problems of the elderly that where caused by Covid-19 virus pandemic. A total of 19 clients of Saldus social department who were in the 60+ age group were surveyed. The main inclusion criteria were: the person must be in the 60+ age group, as well as be a social department client. The aim of the interview was to find out what kind social problems the elderly have encountered during the pandemic have been observed by social workers and what kind of solutions are to the social problems. A social worker of Saldus social department, who works with adults, participated in the semi-structured interview. The study concluded that older people often turn to social services for low-income, needy status and benefits. The most common problems the elderly have faced due to the pandemic are: reduced, broken contact with relatives, friends; feeling of fear and anxiety; difficulty receiving medical service and medication; social isolation and depression. Relatives and the social department have helped the elderly solve most problems. In order to solve client's problems social workers analyze the individual case and find an appropriate solution. The pandemic has affected the lives of elderly people. It has not only caused various new problems, but also exacerbated already existing ones.
