Pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu audzināšanas pieeju saistība ar vecāku kompetences izjūtu un sociāldemogrāfiskajiem rādītājiem

Abstract

Lai sasniegtu mērķi tika izvirzīti trīs sekojoši pētījuma uzdevumi – izpētīt, vai pastāv statistiski nozīmīga saistība starp pirmskolas vecuma bērnu vecāku kompetences izjūtu un audzināšanas pieejām – izpētīt, vai pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas saistības starp vecāku vecumu, izglītību, dzimumu, atbalstu bērna audzināšanā, bērnu skaitu ģimenē un audzināšanas pieejām un kompetences izjūtu un - izpētīt vai pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības vecāku audzināšanas pieejās un kompetences izjūtā respondentiem ar dažādiem sociāldemogrāfiskiem raksturojumiem. Tika pielietota kvantitatīva pētījuma stratēģija, korelatīvs dizains. Pētījuma izlasi veidoja 256 dalībnieki, kuri audzina pirmskolas bērnu vecumā no diviem līdz septiņiem gadiem, no tiem 78.1% sievietes, vidējais vecums 32 gadi. Aptauja bija elektroniskajā googleforms.com vidē, tā tika izplatīta ar facebook.com starpniecību. Pētījuma instrumentārijs -sociāldemogrāfiskā anketa, Alabamas audzināšanas aptauja – pirmsskolas forma (The Alabama Parenting Questionnaire – Preschool Revision (APQ – PR) Clerkin, Marks, Policaro & Halperin, 2007) un Vecāku kompetences izjūtas skala (Parenting Sense of Competence Scale, Johnston & Mash, 1989). Tika atklāta statistiski nozīmīga pozitīva saistība sarp nekonsekventu audzināšanas pieeju un vecāka kopējo kompetences izjūtu un citas statistiski nozīmīgas negatīvas saistības starp audzināšanas pieejām un vecāka kompetences izjūtu. Kā arī tika atklātas statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības izvēlētajās audzināšanas pieejās un vecāku kompetences izjūtā starp mātēm un tēviem, kā arī starp vecākiem ar atšķirīgu bērnu skaitu ģimenē. Varētu pieņemt, ka stiprinot vienu no konstruktiem- audzināšanas pieeju, vai vecāka kompetences izjūtu, varētu uzlaboties arī otrs. Balstoties uz rezultātiem būtu iespējams piedāvāt izglītojošas, vai atbalsta programmas attiecīgajām mērķa grupām.

The aim of the study was to research the corelations and differences between the parenting approaches of preschool children, the sense of parental competence and socio-demographic factors. The main theoretical substantiation is the theory of parental competence and self-efficacy of Professor Albert Bandura, theories of educational dimensions of Ellen Skinner, Sandy Johnson &Tatiana Snyder the theory of the educational approach of psychologist Nancy Elen Darling. To achieve the goal, the following three research tasks were set - to investigate whether there is a statistically significant relationship between preschool parents 'sense of competence and parenting approaches - to investigate whether there is a statistically significant relationship between parents' age, education, gender, parenting support, number of children in the family and parenting approaches and sense of competence and to investigate whether there are statistically significant differences in parental parenting approaches and sense of competence for respondents with different socio-demographic characteristics. Quantitative research strategy, correlative design was used. The sample of the study consisted of 256 participants who raise a pre-school child aged two to seven, of which 78.1% are women, the average age is 32 years. Research tools - Socio-Demographic Questionnaire, Alabama Parenting Questionnaire - Preschool Revision (APQ - PR) Clerkin, Mark, Policaro & Halperin, 2007 and Parenting Sense of Competence Scale, Johnston & Mash , 1989). A statistically significant positive relationship was found between an inconsistent parenting approach and the parent's overall sense of competence and other statistically significant negative correlations between parenting approaches and the parent's sense of competence. Also, statistically significant differences were found in the chosen parenting approaches and in the sense of parental competence between mothers and fathers, as well as between parents with different numbers of children in the family. It could be assumed that strengthening one of the constructs - the parenting approach or the parent's sense of competence, could affect each other. Based on the results, it would be possible to offer educational or support programs to the relevant target groups.
