Brīvpiekļuves fotoarhīvu materiālos balstīta kolāžu sērija par Jelgavu (1914-1945).

Abstract

Darba autore Kitija Dombrovska darba vadītājas Laines Kristbergas, PhD vadībā izstrādāja radošo bakalaura darbu “Brīvpiekļuves fotoarhīvu materiālos balstīta kolāžu sērija par Jelgavu (1914-1945)”.

Radošā bakalaura darba mērķis ir, pamatojoties uz iegūto teorētisko bāzi un vizuālās mākslas piemēriem, izveidot kolāžas, kuras tiks balstītas uz Latvijas Nacionālās bibliotēkas “Letonica” brīvpiekļuves fotoarhīvu materiāliem par Jelgavu no 1914. līdz 1945. gadam.

Bakalaura darbu struktūru veido teorētiskā daļa ar trijām nodaļām un radošā darba koncepcijas daļa. Bakalaura teorētiskajā daļā tiek pētītas un aprakstītas arhīvu materiālu daudzveidīgās pieejas, māksliniekiem integrējot arhīva materiālus autorfotogrāfiju sērijās un fotogrāmatās. Tiek pētīti trīs Latvijas institūciju veidotie projekti, kas balstās uz fotoarhīvu digitalizēšanu un vēsturisko liecību uzglabāšanu. Balstoties uz radošā darba tehniku – kolāžu, teorētiskajā daļā tiek apskatīti dadaistu, sirreālistu un krievu konstruktīvistu kolāžu piemēri, kā arī mūsdienu mākslinieki, kuri fotogrāfijas integrē kolāžas tehnikā. Autore pievērš uzmanību fotogrāfijai kā pagātnes liecību izpētes instrumentam.

Radošā darba koncepcijas daļu veido kolāžu sērijas pamatidejas apraksts, fotogrāfiju atlases process, fotogrāfiju kopiju iegūšanas un apstrādes process, kā arī kolāžu izveides process un kolāžu sērijas apraksts. Radošā darba izveide balstās uz Latvijas Nacionālās bibliotēkas “Letonica” brīvpiekļuves fotoarhīvu “Zudusī Latvija” digitālajiem fotogrāfiju materiāliem, kura ietvaros tiek izveidota kolāžu sērija “Zaudētie atmiņu fragmenti – Jelgava” ar 5 kolāžām, kurās atspoguļota Jelgava laika posmā no 1914. līdz 1945.gadam.

Bakalaura darba nobeigumu veido diskusijas daļa un apkopotie secinājumi par teorētisko bāzi un radošā darba koncepcijas daļu.

The author of the Bachelor’s Thesis Kitija Dombrovska has elaborated the creative Bachelor’s Thesis Collage Series Based on Open Photo Archive Materials of Jelgava (1914–1945), being led by supervisor Laine Kristberga, PhD. The aim of the Bachelor’s Thesis is to create collages on the basis of theoretical research and the examples of visual arts to. The collages will be based on freely accessible photo materials from the Archive of the Latvian National Library “Lettonica”. The author has used materials about Jelgava during the time period from 1914-1945.

The structure of the Bachelor’s Thesis is organised into the theoretical part with three chapters and the conceptual part of the creative work. In the theoretical part the author focuses on various approaches of artists when they have integrated archive materials in their auteur photography series and photo books. The research has been made about three Latvian institutional projects that are based on the photo archive digitalization and historical evidence. The author provides examples of the aesthetics in the collages of Dadaism, Surrealism and Russian Constructivism, as well as modern artists who have applied the collage method in their photographs. The author of the Bachelor’s Thesis examines photography as historical evidence and research tool.

The conceptual part of the Bachelor’s Thesis consists of the key idea of the collage series, the process of photos selection, the acquisition and processing process of photo copies as well as the process of creating collages and the description of creating collages. The Bachelor’s Thesis is based on the open and freely accessible photo archive “Lost Latvia” of the Latvian National Library on the basis of which collage series “The Lost Memory Fragments on Jelgava” have been made. The series consists of 5 collages, where Jelgava is revealed during the time period from 1914 to1945.

The conclusions of the Bachelor’s Thesis are summed up in the discussion part and summarized conclusions concerning the theoretical basis and the conceptual part of the Thesis.
