Izpratne par vecāku komunikācijas vajadzībām pediatrijas intensīvās terapijas nodaļā.

Abstract

Anotācija Brīdis, kad bērns ierodas intensīvās terapijas nodaļā, vecākiem var radīt ļoti lielu stresu un satraukumu, tapēc jau pirmajās minūtēs ir ļoti svarīga komunikācija starp medicīnas darbiniekiem un bērna vecākiem, lai tiktu nodota svarīga informācija pēc iespējas ērtākā un saprotamākā veidā. Katra situācija ir unikāla, jo mainās dažādi apstākļi, kas vai nu atvieglo, vai nu apgrūtina šo ļoti svarīgo informācijas apmaiņu starp vecākiem un medicīnas darbiniekiem. Atrašanās intensīvās terapijas nodaļā vecākiem rada augstu stresa līmeni un, ņemot vērā, ka medicinas personāls arī ir pakļauts dažādām stresa situācijām, slodzei un citiem faktoriem, tad neapzināti var tikt radīts vēl lielāks satraukums un neizpratne vecākiem. Vairums pētījumu par komunikāciju intensīvās terapijas nodaļā tiek apskatīti no personāla perspektīvas. Pētijumi, kas padziļinātāk pēta vecāku vajadzības ir ļoti maz. Šī pētijuma mērķis ir noskaidrot izpratni par vecāku komunikācijas vajadzībām, atrodoties intensīvās terapijas nodaļā. Izprotot vecāku, vajadzības tiek sekmēta ātra un efektīva informācijas apmaiņa, kas ļauj mazināt stresa līmeni vecākiem un ceļ darba vides kvalitāti medicīnas personālam. Pētijuma jautājums - kādas ir vecāku komunikācijas vajadzības pediatrijas intensīvās terapijas nodaļā? Pētijumā tiek izmantota kvalitatīvā pētijuma metode. Pētijuma mērķa sasniegšanai tika izveidota intervija. Tika aptaujāti 5 vecāki un 5 intensīvās terapijas māsas. Pētijuma izvirzītais mērķis tika sasniegts daļēji. Tika iegūts ieskats vecāku komunikācijas vajadzībās intensīvās terapijas nodaļā. Tika radīta izpratne par komunikāciju un informācijas apmaiņu starp vecākiem un medicīnas personālu. Bet, lai varētu padziļinātāk izprast vecāku vajadzības būtu nepieciešams atkārtoti veikt pētījumu, iesaistot vairāk respondentus.

Annotation

The moment when a child arrives at the intensive care unit high levels of stress are instantly effecting the parents. In the first few minutes upon arriving the communication between the parents and the medical staffs is very important to exchange vital information about the patient in a very efficent and understandable way. Every situation is unique because of all sorts of changing circumstances that can make it both easier and harder to ensure the exchange of information between the parents and the medical staff. Being in the ICU can cause a lot of stress for the parents, keeping in mind that the staff is also working in high-stress invironment, it's very important not to cause extra stress unknowingly. Most of the research about communication in the ICU is viewed from the perspective of the staff. There's very little research about the needs of the parent when they are in the ICU/ The goal of this research is to create a bigger understanding of the means of communication that the parents require while being in the ICU. Understanding the needs of the parents information is exchanged efficently allowing to reduce the stress level for the parents and raising the quality of the workplace environment. The question of the research is - what are the communication needs of the parents while being in the pediatric ICU? The research uses a qualitative research method. An interview was conducted to achieve the goal of this study. Five parents and five ICU nurses were interviewed. The goal if this study was reached partially. An insight was gained of the needs of the parents in ICU and an understanding of communication and information exchange was achieved. Howerver to understand this subject even more there should be an even more extensive research on this matter involving even more respondents.
