Geriatrisku pacientu aprūpes īpatnības pēcoperācijas periodā intensīvās terapijas nodaļā.

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums “Geriatrisku pacientu aprūpes īpatnības intensīvās terapijas nodaļā pēcoperācijas periodā. Darbā tiek aprakstītas un pētītas geriatrisku pacientu novecošanas īpatnības un tas, kā tas var ietekmēt pacienta aprūpi pēcoperācijas periodā intensīvās terapijas nodaļā. Pētījumā izvirzītais mērķis - noskaidrot aprūpes īpatnības, kas jāņem vērā aprūpējot geriatrisku pacientu pēc operācijas periodā intensīvas terapijas nodaļā – tika sasniegts. Pētījums tika veikts kvalitatīvi, kā pētījuma instruments tiek ņemta intervija, kas sastā-vēja no desmit jautājumiem. Pētījumā tiek intervētas māsas, kas strādā intensīvās terapijas no-daļā, kuras saskaras ar geriatrisku pacientu aprūpi. Jautājumi tiek uzdoti ar mērķi noskaidrot ar kādām aprūpes īpatnībām saskarās māsas attiecībā pret geriatriskiem pacientiem un kas jāņem vērā, kam jāpievērš uzmanība aprūpējot šādus pacientus. Pētījuma rezultātos tika noskaidrots, ka māsas apzinās geriatriska pacienta aprūpes īpatnības, kā arī atzīst, ka ir faktori, kam jāpievērš pastiprināta uzmanība aprūpējot geriatriskus pacientus un kuri prasa gan vairāk laika, gan zināšanas. Ar šo pētījuma tika iegūti personīgi ieguvumi par to, kā strādāt ar geriatriskiem pacientiem, kas palīdzēs turpmākā profesionālajā izaugsmē, kā arī dos iespēju izglītot citas māsas ar iegūtajiem rezultātiem.

Title of the work “Specifics of post-operative care in geriatric intensive care patients.” The work describes the specifics of aging in geriatric patients and how it affects the patient's care in the postoperative period in the intensive care unit. The aim of the study - to find out the specifics of care that should be taken into account when caring for a geriatric patient after surgery in the intensive care unit - was achieved. The results of the study showed that nurses are aware of the specifics of geriatric patient care, as well as acknowledge that there are factors that need to be paid more attention when caring for geriatric patients, which take more time and knowledge. A qualitative method was used. As research tool was taken an interview with ten questions. Participate in interview was ask for nurses working in the intensive care unit who deal with the care of geriatric patients. The questions were asked in order to find out what are the specifics of care to geriatric patients and what should be remembered when caring for these patients.

This study provided personal benefits on how to work with geriatric patients, which will help in further professional development, as well as provide an opportunity to educate other nurses with the results of bachelor`s thesis.
