Studējošo vecmāšu motivācija un to ietekmējošie faktori strādāt izvēlētajā profesijā

Abstract

ANOTĀCIJA Bakalaura darba nosaukums: ,,Studējošo vecmāšu motivācija un to ietekmējošie faktori strādāt izvēlētajā profesijā” Vecmātība, kas ir aizsākusies jau cilvēces pirmsākumos, ir profesija, kura nodrošina grūtnieču aprūpi un konsultācijas, dzemdību vadīšanu un aprūpi pēcdzemdību periodā, kā arī jaundzimušo aprūpi un atbalstu. Tieši tāpat kā citu profesiju pārstāvji, vecmāšu ilgtspēja ir atkarīga no jaunu profesionāļu pieņemšanas darbā, kuri ir motivēti izvēlēties un turpināt strādāt šajā jomā. Tāpēc ir ļoti svarīga studentu sagatavošana un iedvesmošana apgūt šo profesiju. (Tadesse et al., 2020) Darba mērķis: noskaidrot studējošo vecmāšu motivāciju un to ietekmējošos faktorus strādāt izvēlētajā profesijā, saistībā ar studiju kursiem. Pētījumā piedalījās 72 X izglītības iestādes studiju programmas “Vecmāte” studenti. Dati tika iegūti izmantojot Microsoft forms rīku. Aptaujas pirmā daļa- darba autores digitāli pašizveidota aptaujas anketa, Otrā daļa- motivācijas noteikšana izmantojot gatavu instrumentu. Darba ārējās un iekšējās motivācijas skala (WEIMS) Tremblay, Blanchard, Villenueve, Taylor, Pelletier, 2009. Adaptācija latviešu valodā- A. Puzāne, 2020. gads. Skala ir sastādīta no 18 apgalvojumiem, balstoties uz pašnoteikšanās teoriju. Statistiskajā datu analīzē tika izmantota aprakstošā statistika, Šapiro-Vilka tests un Spīrmana korelācija. Darba ārējās un iekšējās motivācijas skalas vidējais punktu skaits ir 26,74, kas norāda, ka studentus strādāt vecmāšu profesijā motivē iekšējā motivācija. Studentu motivācija strādāt izvēlētajā profesijā ir vidēji augsta starp visiem studiju gadiem, tomēr, ar katru studiju gadu tā samazinās. Galvenie motivāciju pozitīvi ietekmējošie faktori ir personīgā profesijas simpātija un aicinājums sniegt palīdzību sievietēm, savukārt, negatīvi studentu motivāciju strādāt vecmātes profesijā ietekmē profesijas atalgojums un darba piedāvājums.

Title Student midwives' motivation and factors influencing their choice of profession Introduction and background Since the dawn of mankind, midwifery is a profession that provides care and counseling for pregnant women, labor management and postpartum care, and care and support for newborns. Just like other professions, the sustainability of midwifery depends on the recruitment of new professionals who are motivated to choose and stay in this field. Therefore, it is very important to prepare and inspire students to learn the profession of a midwife. (Tadesse et al., 2020) Objective To find out the motivation of student midwives and the factors affecting them to work in the chosen profession, in connection with study courses. Methodology The study included 72 students of the Riga Stradins University study program "Midwifery". The data was obtained using the Microsoft forms tool. The first part of the survey - a digitally self-created questionnaire by the author. The second part- determination of motivation using a ready-made tool. WEIMS- scale of external and internal motivation of work. Adaptation in Latvian - A. Puzāne, 2020. The scale is composed of 18 statements based on self-determination theory. Descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk test and Spearman correlation were used for statistical data analysis. The average score of the work external and internal motivation scale (WEIMS) is 26.74, which indicates that students are motivated to work in the midwifery profession by internal motivation. Students' motivation to work in the chosen profession is averagely high among all study years, however, it decreases with each study year. The main factors that positively affect motivation are personal liking of the profession and the call to help women, while the motivation of students to work in the midwifery profession is negatively influenced by the profession's salary and job offer.
