Latgales reģionā praktizējošo ģimenes ārstu un iedzīvotāju mijiedarbība kvalitatīvas ergoterapijas pakalpojuma saņemšanā

Abstract

Nosaukums: “Latgales reģiona iedzīvotāju un praktizējošo ģimenes ārstu izpratne par ergoterapiju”. Bakalaura darba autore: Krista Greiža, Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes Veselības un sporta zinātņu fakultātes programmas “Ergoterapija” studente. Pētāmā problēma: Kvalitatīva pakalpojuma nodrošināšanas pamatā ir izpratne par noteiktas palīdzības nepieciešamību, tāpēc, lai grieztos pie ergoterapeitu vai sniegtu nosūtījumu pie tā, jābūt pietiekamai izpratnei par tās nepieciešamību un pakalpojuma saņemšanas vietām un nosacījumiem. Uz šo brīdi ne Latvijā, ne Latgales reģionā nav izpētīta iedzīvotāju un ģimenes ārstu izpratne par ergoterapiju. Pētījuma mērķis: Noskaidrot Latgales reģiona iedzīvotāju un ģimenes ārstu izpratni par ergoterapiju. Pētījuma metodes: Kvalitatīvs pētījums, kurā pēc ērtuma izlases metodes tika atlasīti deviņi Latgales reģiona iedzīvotāji un vienkāršās varbūtīgās izlases metodes viena praktizējoša ģimenes ārste. Dalībnieki atbilda iekļaušanas kritērijiem – persona dzīvo vai sniedz pakalpojumus Latgales reģionā un ir vismaz 18 gadus veca. Informācijas iegūšanai tika izmantota fokusgrupas diskusija (ar iedzīvotājiem) un daļēji strukturēta intervija (ar ģimenes ārsti). Gan diskusija, gan intervija tika realizēta atbilstoši sagatavotajam protokolam, kurā tika ietvertas galvenās tēmas - ergoterapijas būtība, ergoterapijas pakalpojuma pieejamību Latgales reģionā, ergoterapijas atpazīstamības veicināšanas nepieciešamība. Iegūtie dati tika analizēti, izmantojot informācijas analīzes induktīvo metodi. Rezultāti: Dalībnieki nespēja definēt ergoterapijas profesijas būtību – tiek jaukti ar citiem profesijas pārstāvjiem, piemin stereotipus saistībā ar mērķgrupām, nav pārliecināti par ergoterapeita prakses vietām un pakalpojuma saņemšanas nepieciešamību. Gan iedzīvotāji, gan ģimenes ārste atzīmē, ka ergoterapija ir nepieciešama Latgales reģionā, nosauc dažādus iemeslus izpratnes trūkumā, kā arī dalās ar savām idejām un priekšlikumiem situācijas uzlabošanā. Secinājumi: Latgales reģiona iedzīvotājiem un ģimenes ārstei trūkst izpratnes par ergoterapijas lomu un pakalpojumu pieejamību. Kā izpratnes trūkuma iemeslu dalībnieki ir norādījuši ģimenes ārstu izpratnes nepietiekamību, pietrūkstošo speciālistu un laika deficītu informācijas meklēšanai. Tiek secināts, ka Latgales reģionā ir nepieciešama ergoterapijas atpazīstamības veicināšana.

Title of the bachelor thesis: "Understanding of residents and practising family doctors of Latgale region about occupational therapy". The researched problem: The basis of providing a quality service is the understanding of the need for certain help, therefore, in order to see an occupational therapist or provide a referral, one must have a sufficient understanding of the need for the service and the places and conditions for receiving the service. At the moment, the understanding of residents and family doctors about occupational therapy has not been researched neither in Latvia nor in the Latgale region. Purpose of the study: To find out the understanding of residents of the Latgale region and family doctors about occupational therapy. Research methods: Qualitative research in which nine residents of the Latgale region were selected according to the convenience sampling and one practising family doctor was selected according to the simple random sampling method. The participants met the inclusion criteria - the person lives or provides services in the Latgale region and is at least 18 years old. A focus group discussion (with residents) and a semi-structured interview (with family doctors) were used to obtain information. Both the discussion and the interview were carried out according to the prepared protocol, which included the main topics - occupational therapy, occupational therapy services in the Latgale region, and the need to promote awareness. The obtained data were analysed using the inductive content analysis. Results: Both residents and family doctors lack understanding of occupational therapy - they confuse them with representatives of other professions, mention stereotypes related to the target groups, are not sure about the occupational therapist's practice places and the need to receive the service. Both the residents and the family doctor note that occupational therapy is necessary in the Latgale region, name various reasons for the lack of understanding, and also share their ideas and proposals for improving the situation. Conclusions: Residents of the Latgale region and family doctors lack understanding of the role of occupational therapy and services. As the reason for the lack of understanding, the participants indicated the lack of understanding of family doctors, the lack of specialists in the region and the lack of time to search for information. It is concluded that the promotion of the occupational therapy is necessary in the Latgale region.
