Pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu ar neirālās attīstības traucējumiem vecāku pieredze un viedoklis par ergoterapijas nodarbībām

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums: Pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu ar neirālās attīstības traucējumiem vecāku pieredze un viedoklis par ergoterapijas nodarbībām Bakalaura darba autors: Linda Osipova, RSU Veselības un sporta zinātņu fakultātes studiju programmas “Ergoterapija” studente. Aktualitāte: Latvijā pēdējā laikā bērnu skaits ar neirālās attīstības traucējumiem ir pieaudzis. Vairumā gadījumu šo bērnu vecākiem trūkst pieredzes un zināšanu par bērna attīstību, veselību un audzināšanas metodēm. Bērni apmeklē dažādas nodarbības, tostarp ergoterapiju, un lielākā daļa nodarbību notiek bez vecāku līdzdalības. Līdz šim Latvijā netika veikti pētījumi par pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu ar neirālās attīstības traucējumiem vecāku pieredzi un viedokli par ergoterapijas nodarbībām. Pētāmā problēma: Trūkst zināšanu par pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu ar neirālās attīstības traucējumiem vecāku pieredzi un viedokli par ergoterapijas nodarbībām. Darba mērķis: Izpētīt un aprakstīt pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu ar neirālās attīstības traucējumiem vecāku pieredzi un viedokli par ergoterapijas nodarbībām. Pētījuma metodes: Kvalitatīvs, fenomenoloģisks pētījums. Pētījumā kopumā piedalījās septiņi dalībnieki, no kuriem trīs bija pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu ar neirālās attīstības traucējumiem vecāki, kuru bērni saņem pakalpojumus rehabilitācijas centrā “Poga”, un četri dalībnieki - vecāki, kuru bērni saņem pakalpojumus ABA terapijas centrā “Lauvas skola”. Pētījums tika veikts, izmantojot divas fokusgrupas. Fokusgrupas diskusijas tika realizētas atbilstoši iepriekš sagatavotam fokusgrupas protokolam. Iegūtie dati tika analizēti, izmantojot fokusgrupas diskusijas satura analīzes induktīvo metodi. Rezultāti un rezultātu analīze: Datu analīzes rezultātā tika identificētas sešas tēmas: pirmā iepazīšanās ar ergoterapiju, ergoterapijas nodarbības, ergoterapijas nepieciešamība, efektivitāte un apmierinātība, pieredze ar speciālistiem un līdzdalība. Pētījuma rezultāti tika salīdzināti ar citiem jau veiktajiem pētījumiem šajā jomā. Secinājumi: Vecāki vismaz reizi mūžā ir apmeklējuši ergoterapijas nodarbības kopā ar savu bērnu; ir apmierināti ar ergoterapijas nodarbību norisi, bet uzskata, ka nodarbību ilgums ir nepietiekams; apgalvo, ka ir vairāk ieguvumu nekā trūkumu vai izaicinājumu, kad vecāks pats piedalās ergoterapijas nodarbībās.

Background: The number of children with neurological developmental disorders in Latvia has recently increased. In most cases, their parents lack experience and knowledge of child development, health and parenting practices. Children attend various therapy sessions, including occupational therapy, but most of the therapy sessions are without parents' participation. Until now there have not been studies in Latvia about the experience and opinion of parents of preschool children with neurological developmental disorders regarding occupational therapy. Research problem: There is a lack of knowledge about the parents' experience and opinion of preschool children with neurological developmental disorders regarding occupational therapy. Purpose: To explore and describe parents' experience and opinion of preschool children with neurological developmental disorders regarding occupational therapy. Methods: Qualitative, phenomenological research. Seven participants were included in the study, three of whom were parents of preschool children with neurodevelopmental disorders whose children have therapy sessions at the rehabilitation centre “Poga” and four of whom were parents whose children have therapy sessions at the ABA therapy centre “Lauvas skola”. The study was carried out using two focus groups. The focus group discussions were carried out according to a pre-prepared focus group protocol. The acquired data were analyzed by using the inductive method of content analysis. Results and discussion: The data analysis identified six themes: first introduction to occupational therapy, occupational therapy sessions, need for occupational therapy, effectiveness and satisfaction, experience with professionals and participation. The results were compared with other existing studies in the field. Conclusions: Parents have attended occupational therapy with their child at least once in their lifetime; are satisfied with the occupational therapy sessions but feel that the sessions are not long enough; state that there are more benefits than disadvantages or challenges when the parent attends the occupational therapy sessions.
