Netiešās pašdestrukcijas aptaujas (ISDS-25) saīsinātās versijas adaptācija latviešu valodā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir adaptēt aptauju “A shortened version of the Indirect Self- Destructiveness Scale ISDS-25” latviešu valodā un pārbaudīt aptaujas psihometriskos rādītājus. Latvijā līdz šim nav iztrādāts vai adaptēts instruments, kas mēra pašdestruktīvu uzvedību. Oriģinālā aptauja “A shortened version of the Indirect Self- Destructiveness Scale ISDS-25” sastāv no 25 pantiem. Kā arī oriģinālajā pētījumā rezultāti liecina, ka aptauja būtībā ir viendimensionāla, taču tai ir 5 apakšskalas. Bakalaura darbā tika izvirzīti 3 pētījuma jautājumi, kuriem sekoja arī 3 pētījuma uzdevumi. Aptaujas adaptācijas pētījumā piedalījās 250 dalībnieki, kuri bija vecumā no 18 līdz 70 gadiem (M = 27,21; SD = 11,58). 67,2% bija sievietes. Izlase tika veidota pēc ērtuma principa un aptaujas respondentu iekļaušanas kritēriji bija pietiekamas latviešu valodas zināšanas un vecums sākot no 18 gadiem. Lai uzzinātu atbildi uz darbā izvirzītajiem jautājumiem, tika izveidots elektronisks (ar interneta resursu palīdzību) oriģinālās saīsinātās versijas aptaujas tulkojums. Aptauja sastāvēja no ISDS-25 instrumenta, kā arī respondenti tika lūgti atzīmēt arī savu vecumu un dzimumu. Aptauja tika izplatīta ar interneta resursu palīdzību. Pirms aptaujas aizpildes tika iegūta informēta piekrišana no respondentiem par to, ka dati tiks pielietoti izpētes mērķim, kā arī viņu dalība pētījumā ir anonīma un brīvprātīga. Iegūtie dati ir attēloti diagrammā un tabulās, kā arī tiek analizētas ar komentāriem darba praktiskajā daļā. Rezultāti parādīja, ka aptaujas kopējam rādītājam ir augsts iekšējās saskaņotības rādītājs Kronbaha alfa (α = 0,87), kas atbilst psihometriskajiem rādītājiem. Arī oriģinālo aptauju raksturo augsts iekšējās saskaņotības rādītājs Kronbaha alfa (α = 0,81). Taču dažām apakšskalām bija novērojami arī pazemināti rezultāti. Pētījuma rezultāti arī parādīja, ka pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas dzimumatšķirības- vīrieši uzrādīja lielākus rādītājus pašdestruktīvai uzvedībai. Aptaujas pantu analīzē skatoties uz reakcijas indeksu, daži rezultāti bija zem apakšējās kritiskās robežas, taču, ja šie panti tiktu izņemti, tad kristos Kronbaha alfas rādītājs, tādēļ tie tika atstāti. Tomēr skatoties uz diskriminācijas indeksa rādītājiem, visi panti iekļāvās kritiskajās robežās. Izpētošās faktoranalīzes rezultāti uzrādīja 5 faktoru modeli, kas atbilda arī faktoru modelim, kā tas bija originālajā pētījumā. Aptauja ir piemērota turpmākiem pētījumiem Latvijas kultūrvidē.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to adapt the scale “A shortened version of the Indirect Self-Destructiveness Scale ISDS-25” in Latvian and to test the psychometric indicators of the scale. In Latvia, so far, no instrument has been developed or adapted to measure self-destructive behavior. The original survey "A shortened version of the Indirect Self-Destructiveness Scale ISDS-25" consists of 25 items. As well as in the original study, the results show that the scale is essentially one-dimensional, but has 5 subscales. In the bachelor thesis, 3 research questions were raised, which were followed by 3 research tasks. The adapted version of the scale involved 250 participants aged between 18 and 70 years (M = 27.21; SD = 11.58). 67.2% were women. The sample was formed according to the principle of convenience, and the criteria for the inclusion of scale respondents were sufficient knowledge of the Latvian language and age starting from 18 years. To find out the answer to the questions raised in the work, an electronic (with the help of Internet recources) translation of the original shortened version of the scale was created. The survey consisted of the ISDS-25 instrument, and respondents were also asked to indicate their age and gender. The survey was distributed with the help of Internet resources. Before filling out the survey, informed consent was obtained from the respondents that the data will be used for the research purpose, and that their participation in the study is anonymous and voluntary. The obtained data are presented in a diagram and tables, and are also analyzed with comments in the practical part of the work. The results showed that the total score of the survey has a high internal consistency Cronbach's alpha (α = 0.87), which is consistent with the psychometric indicators. The original scale is also characterised by a high internal consistency Cronbach’s alpha (α = 0.81). However, some subscales also showed decreased results. The results of the study also show that there are statistically significant gender differences – men showed higher indicators of self-destructive behavior. In the analysis of scale items when looking at the response index, some results were below the lower critical limit, but if these items were removed, Cronbach's alpha would drop, so they were retained. However, looking at the discrimination index scores, all items fell within the critical limits. The results of the exploratory factor analysis showed a 5-factor model, which also corresponded to the factor model as in the original study. The scale is suitable for further research in the cultural environment of Latvia.
