Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “Latvijas jauniešu priekšstati par pēcnāves dzīvi. Animēta video izveide,” starpdisciplināri savienojot pētnieciskā un radošā darba iezīmes, izveidots kvalitatīvā pētījumā balstīts dokumentāls animācijas video. Šajā darbā veiktas desmit daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar Latvijā dzīvojošiem jauniešiem, kas nav nevienas no pasaules reliģiju pārstāvjiem. Darba radošajā daļā – dokumentālās animācijas video – tiek interpretētas pētījumā iegūtās atbildes, lai veidotu animāciju divdimensionālā digitālā un stopkadru animācijas tehnikā. Darba teorijas daļā apskatīta sabiedrības attieksme pret nāvi un pēcnāvi, tāpat diskusijā par to iekļaujot reliģiju. Liela uzmanība tiek pievērsta cilvēku vernakulārajiem uzskatiem par iespējamo pēcnāves dzīvi. Ņemot vērā, ka darbā izstrādāts arī dokumentālās animācijas video, apskatīts gan animācijas raksturojums, gan dokumentālās animācijas veidi un noteikumi, kas jāņem vērā dokumentalitātes radīšanā. Darba koncepcijas daļā rakstīts par animācijas video izstrādes procesu un to, kā darbu veidot tā, lai tas varētu tikt klasificēts kā dokumentālās animācijas darbs. Pētījumā noskaidrots, ka arī nereliģiozi Latvijā dzīvojoši jaunieši iztēlojas iespējamo pēcnāves dzīvi un šie priekšstati atšķiras no dažādās pasaules reliģijās sludinātā. Iekļaujot četrus no stāstiem, izveidots dokumentālās animācijas darbs ar dokumentālu skaņas celiņu.

In the Bachelor's thesis " Latvian Youth's Perceptions of the Afterlife. Creation of an animated video," interdisciplinary features of research and creative work are merged to develop a qualitatively researched documentary animation video. Ten semi-structured interviews were conducted with Latvian youths who do not affiliate with any world religions. In the creative segment of the thesis – the documentary animation video – the responses obtained from the research are interpreted to craft animation using both two-dimensional digital and stop-motion animation techniques. The theoretical section examines society's attitudes towards death and the afterlife, incorporating discussions on religion. Special attention is given to people's vernacular beliefs regarding the possible afterlife. Considering that a documentary animation video is also developed in the thesis, both the characteristics of animation and the types and rules of documentary animation that need to be considered in creating authenticity are examined. The conceptual section of the thesis discusses the process of developing the animation video and how to ensure that the work can be classified as a documentary animation piece. The research reveals that non-religious Latvian youths also envision the possible afterlife, and these perceptions differ from those preached in various world religions. Incorporating four of these narratives, a documentary animation piece with authentic soundtracks was produced.
