Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēmas nosaukums ir Režisora Deivida Finčera stila īpatnības. Darbā izvirzītais pētījuma jautājums ir: Kādas ir režisora Deivida Finčera daiļrades stila īpatnības? Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot kādas ir amerikāņu režisora Deivida Finčera stila īpatnības viņa visaugstāk novērtētajos daiļrades darbos. Bakalaura darba mērķa sasniegšanai tika veikta kontentanalīze četriem Deivida Finčera daiļrades darbiem, kas ieguvuši augstāko skatītāju vērtējumu filmu datubāzē IMDb (Internet Movie Database). Darbā analizētie daiļrades darbi ir Cīņas klubs (Fight Club), Septiņi (Seven), Neatrodamā (Gone Girl) un Mindhunter. Lai sasniegtu bakalaura darba mērķi, darba teorētiskajā daļā tika apskatīts Holivudas kino un Holivudas klasiskais stils, autorkino teorija, kino stils, kino valoda, kā arī paša Deivida Finčera biogrāfija un viņa sadarbība ar straumēšanas platformu Netflix. Bakalaura darba pētījuma daļā tika izveidotas pētāmo elementu kategorijas, apskatīta kvalitatīvā kontentanalīze, kas bija šī bakalaura darba pētījuma metode un tika veikta iepriekšminēto daiļrades darbu analīze, kā arī diskusija par atklātajiem rezultātiem. Bakalaura darba noslēgumā tiek apkopoti secinājumi par pētījumā iegūtajiem datiem, tiek sniegta atbilde uz bakalaura darba pētījuma jautājumu, kā arī tiek sniegti priekšlikumi plašākai darba izpētei.

The title of the bachelor’s thesis is Features of David Finchers artistic style. The study’s research question is What are the artistic features of David Fincers creative works? The purpose of the bachelor’s thesis is to find out what are the peculiarities of American director’s David Fincher’s artistic style in his most highly rated creative works. To achieve the goal of the bachelor’s thesis, a content analysis was made for four creative works of David Fincher that have achieved the highest rating on IMDb (Internet Movie Database) given by viewers. The creative works analysized in this thesis were Fight Club, Seven, Gone Girl and Mindhunter. To achieve the goal of the bachelor’s thesis, in the theoretical part of the thesis, Hollywood cinema and the classical Hollywood cinema, auteur theory, film style, film language as well as David Fincher’s biography and his partnership with the streaming service Netflix were examined. In the research part of the bachelor’s thesis, the categories of analyzable elements were created, qualitative content analysis, the research method of this thesis, was examined, and the analysis of the above-mentioned creative works was carried out, as well as a discussion of the revealed results. At the end of the bachelor’s thesis, conclusions about the data obtained during research are summarized, an answer to the bachelor’s thesis research question is given, as well as proposals for further research of the thesis topic.
