Dokumentālā īsfilma par Pēteri Barisonu

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Radošais darbs. Dokumentālā īsfilma par Pēteri Barisonu” mērķis ir izveidot dokumentālo īsfilmu par latviešu komponistu Pēteri Barisonu. Lai šo mērķi sasniegtu tika izvirzīti 8 galvenie uzdevumi, kas sevī iekļauj teorētisko materiālu un literatūras izpēti, audiovizuālo materiālu ievākšanu un apstrādi, kā arī secinājumu veikšanu pēc darba beigšanas. Darba teorētisko pamatu veido divas daļas – dokumentālā kino teorijas apskats un Latvijas dokumentālā kino vēstures izpēte. Darba daļa, kurā tiek apskatīta dokumentālā kino teorija, sastāv no vairāku autoru (galvenokārt B. Nikolsa, D. Bordvela un K. Tompsones) pārdomām un viedokļiem par dokumentālā kino definīciju, šajā darba daļā tiek sniegts arī neliels ieskats divos no dokumentālā kino iedalījuma veidiem. Papildus tam teorētiskajā daļā ir iekļauts arī Latvijas dokumentālā kino vēstures apraksts. Radošās koncepcijas daļā tiek aprakstīts radošā darba process – no materiāla ievākšanas līdz pēcapstrādei un montāžai. Šajā darba daļā ir izklāstīts par radošā darbā veidošanas laikā izmantoto tehnikas, rīku un metožu lietojumu. Darba rezultātā – dokumentālā īsfilma, kurā tiek attēlota komponista Pētera Barisona pieminekļa veidošana. Šī procesa filmēšana tika veikta pēc dokumentālā kino novērojuma tipa tradīcijām. Paralēli tam ir nofilmēta arī Pētera Barisona dzimtā vieta Sēlija. Filmētās ainavas ir apvienotas ar Pētera Barisona dienasgrāmatas fragmentu lasījumiem un viņa komponētās mūzikas ierakstiem. Šajā aspektā ir pielietotas dokumentālā kino poētiskā tipa iezīmes, lai tādā veidā savienotu abus vizuālos sižetus.

The goal of the Bachelor thesis “Creative Work. A Documentary Short Film about Pēteris Barisons” is to create a documentary short film about the Latvian composer Pēteris Barisons. There were 8 main tasks put forward to reach this goal. These tasks include research of theoretical materials and literature, the collection of audiovisual materials needed, the editing and postproduction of said materials, and drawing conclusions after. The theoretical basis of the thesis consists of two parts – a review of documentary cinema theory and research of the history of Latvian documentary cinema. The part of the work that examines documentary cinema theory consists of the thoughts and opinions of several authors (mainly B. Nichols, D. Bordwell and K. Thompson) on the definition of documentary cinema, this part of the work also provides a small insight into two types of classification of documentary cinema . In addition to that, the theoretical part also includes a description of the history of Latvian documentary cinema. The part on the concept of the creative work consists of a description of the process of production – from collection of the needed materials to post-production and editing. This part of the work also includes a description of techniques, tools and methods used in the production of the creative work. As a result of the work – a documentary short film depicting the creation of the monument to the composer Pēters Barisons. Filming of this process was done according to the traditions of observational documentary cinema. In addition, the birthplace of Pēteris Barisons, Selia, was also filmed. The captured landscapes are combined with readings of excerpts from Pēteris Barisons's diary and recordings of music composed by him. From this aspect, the features of the poetic type of documentary cinema are applied to connect the two visual plots.
