Hajao Mijazaki filmu vizuālā un naratīvā analīze.

Abstract

ANOTĀCIJA Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Hajao Mijazaki filmu vizuālā un naratīva analīze”. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt režisora Hajao Mijazaki radošo rokrakstu “Studio Ghibli” animācijas filmās. Pētījuma teorētisko daļu veido apskats par japāņu animācijas vēsturi, tās žanriem un stiliem, lai spētu pilnvērtīgi izprast režisora Hajao Mijazaki darbus. Lai nodrošinātu kvalitatīvu bakalaura darba pētnieciskās daļas izstrādi, darba teorētiskā daļa iekļauj teorijas apskatu par animācijas filmu radīšanu, kino valodu un tās elementiem, kadrējumu, montāžu, mizanscēnu un skaņu. Pētījums veikts, balstoties kvalitatīvās pētījuma metodēs – kvalitatīvajā kontentanalīzē: 1. Stilistikas elementu analīzē (tiek apskatīti filmu vizuālie elementi kā kadrējums, skaņa, montāža un mizanscēna); 2. Naratīva analīzē (tiek apskatīta naratīva attīstība sadalot katru animācijas filmu piecās daļās: Ekspozīcija, pieaugošā darbība, kulminācija, krītošā darbība, atrisinājums ). Darba pētnieciskajā daļā tika analizētas piecas režisora Hajao Mijazaki filmas. Filmas tika izvēlētas hronoloģiskā secībā, sākot no 2001. līdz 2023. gadam: • “Spirited Away” (2001) “Bērnības nevainības un izaugsmes izpēte caur fantastisku piedzīvojumu garu pasaulē”; • “Howl’s Moving Castle” (2004) “Cilvēku pārvērtības, gan burtiskas, gan metaforiskas, kara un personīgu atklāsmju ietekmē”; • “Ponyo” (2008) “Cilvēces un dabas attiecību izpēte, stāstīta caur maģiskas zemūdens piedzīvojuma prizmu”; • “The Wind Rises” (2013) “Reflektīvs stāsts par lidmašīnu inženiera sapņiem un ētiku kara kontekstā”; • “The Boy and the Heron” (2023) “Jaunākais Hajao Mijazaki darbs, kas potenciāli piedāvā jaunu ieskatu viņa naratīvos un vizuālajās tēmās”. Katra filmas analīze tiek papildināta ar ekrānšāviņiem no filmas centrālajiem notikumiem, lai darba lasītājam būtu vieglāk izprast tekstā aprakstītos notikumus, ainas. Pētījuma rezultātā, balstoties uz naratīva un stilistikas analīzi, tiek iegūts priekštats par Japāņu animāciju un režisora Hajao Mijazaki filmām. Darba noslēgumā tiek iegūti secinājumi par režisora Hajao Mijazaki radošo rokrakstu un tā elementiem, kā arī tiek atbildēts uz jautājumu, kādi vēstījumi tiek komunicēti Hajao Mijazaki animācijas filmās un vai un kā atšķiras teorijā aprakstītais režisora rokraksts.

ANNOTATION The subject of the Bachelor's thesis is “Visual and Narrative Analysis of Hayao Miyazaki's Films”. The aim of the research is to explore the creative handwriting of director Hayao Miyazaki in Studio Ghibli's animation films. The theoretical part of the research consists of a review of the history of Japanese animation, its genres, and styles to fully understand the works of director Hayao Miyazaki. To ensure the development of a quality research part of the Bachelor's thesis, the theoretical part of the work includes an overview of theories on the creation of animated films, film language and its elements, framing, editing, mise-ne-scène, and sound. The research was conducted based on qualitative research methods – qualitative content analysis: 1. Analysis of stylistic elements (visual elements such as framing, sound, editing, and mise–en–scène are examined); 2. Narrative analysis (the narrative development is examined by dividing each animation film into five parts: Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, Resolution). The research part of the work analyzed five films by director Hayao Miyazaki. The films were selected in chronological order from 2001 to 2023: • “Spirited Away” (2001) “Exploration of childhood innocence and growth through a fantastic adventure in the spirit world”; • “Howl’s Moving Castle” (2004) “Transformations of individuals, both literal and metaphorical, influenced by war and personal revelations”; • “Ponyo” (2008) “Exploration of the relationship between humanity and nature, told through the prism of a magical underwater adventure”; • “The Wind Rises” (2013) “Reflective story about an aircraft engineer's dreams and ethics in the context of war”; • “The Boy and the Heron” (2023) “The latest work by Hayao Miyazaki, potentially offering a new insight into his narrative and visual themes”. Each film analysis is supplemented with screenshots from the central events of the film to make it easier for the reader to understand the events described in the text and scenes. As a result of the research, based on narrative and stylistic analysis, an insight into Japanese animation and director Hayao Miyazaki's films is gained. In conclusion of the work, conclusions are drawn about the creative handwriting of director H. Miyazaki and its elements, as well as the question of what messages are communicated in H. Miyazaki's animation films and whether and how they differ from the director's handwriting described in theory.
