Māszinības studentu un pacientu priekšstati par māsas profesiju

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma “Māszinības studentu un pacientu priekšstati par māsas profesiju”. Pētījums tika veikts ar mērķi noskaidrot māszinības studentu un pacientu priekšstatus saistībā ar māsas profesiju. Salīdzinošs šķērsgriezuma pētījums tika veikts no 2024. gada janvāra līdz 2024. gada aprīļa vidum. Tika saņemta atļauja pētījuma veikšanai no Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes un VSIA “Traumatoloģijas un ortopēdijas slimnīca”, 1. nodaļā (īslaicīgās ķirurģijas centrs), 3. nodaļā (mugurkaulu un locītavu ķirurģijas centrs) un 5. nodaļā (traumatoloģijas centrs). Šajā pētījuma piedalījās 426 respondenti, vecumā no 18 līdz 91 gadam. Tika apjautātas divas grupas: 1. grupa, kur tika iekļauti pacienti (n=213) un 2. grupa, kurā tika iekļauti māszinības studenti no vienas mācību iestādes (n=213). Respondenti atbildēja uz aptauju, kas sastāvēja no: sociāli demogrāfiskiem jautājumiem un tulkotās „Māsas profesijas tēla skala” skalas (skat. 1.pielik.). Šī darba ietvaros tika analizēta teorija par māsas tēla nozīme māsu profesijā, kādi ir priekšstati pacientiem par māsas tēlu un māsas profesiju, ka arī kādi ir priekšstati māszinības studentiem par māsas tēlu un māsas profesiju. Tika analizēti aptaujas rezultāti par “Māsas tēla profesijas skala” apakšskalu salīdzinājums starp divām grupām. Tika izsecināts, ka starp grupām ir novērojamas atšķirības priekšstatos par māsu profesiju. Kopumā pacienti nedaudz pozitīvāk uztver māsu profesiju nekā māszinības studenti. Māszinības studenti pozitīvākus uztver priekšstatus par dzimumu un izglītību, un pacienti vairāk vērtē profesionālo statusu, profesionālos rādītājus un ārējo izskatu. Savukārt darba apstākļus respondentu grupas vērtē līdzīgi. Darbs kopumā izklāstītas 31 lappusēs, tajā iekļautas 12 tabulas un 4 attēli. Darbā izmantoti 19 literatūras avoti un pievienoti 8 pielikumi.

The topic of the bachelor thesis is "Nursing students' and patients' perceptions of the image of nursing profession". The study was conducted with the aim of finding out the perceptions of nursing students and patients in relation to the image of nursing profession. A comparative cross-sectional study was conducted from January 2024 to mid-April 2024. Permits to conduct the study was obtained from Riga Stradiņš University and VSIA "Traumatology and Orthopaedics Hospital", ward 1 (short-term surgery centre), ward 3 (spine and joint surgery centre) and ward 5 (traumatology centre). The 426 respondents were aged from 18 to 91, participated in this study. Two groups were surveyed: group 1, which included patients (n=213) and group 2, which included nursing students from the same institution (n=213). Respondents answered a questionnaire consisting of: socio-demographic questions and the translated scale "Scale for the image of the nursing profession". This work analyzed the theory of the importance of the image of the nurse in the nursing profession, the perceptions patients have of the image of the nurse and the nursing profession, and the perceptions nursing students have of the image of the nurse and the nursing profession. The results of the questionnaire on the subscales of the " Scale for the image of the nursing profession " were analyzed for comparison between the two groups. It was concluded that there were differences between the groups in their perceptions of the nursing profession. In general, patients have a slightly more positive perception of the nursing profession than nursing students. Nursing students have more positive perceptions of gender and education and patients have more positive perceptions of professional status, professional performance and appearance. On the other hand, working conditions are rated similarly by the respondent groups. The work is presented in 31 pages in total, it includes 12 tables and 4 images. 19 literature sources are used in the work and includes 8 appendices.
