Abstract

Bakalaura darbs sniedz ieskatu par māsas profesiju, prestižu profesijas kontekstā un māsas profesijas kontekstā, kā arī noskaidro un salīdzina vērtējumu par māsas profesijas prestižu. Prestižs ietver nozīmīgu lomu gan profesijas, gan arī paša profesijas pārstāvja vidē. Māsas profesija ir apvīta ar dažādiem stereotipiem un sabiedrības neizpratni par profesijas būtību, kas rezultējas pie profesijas vērtējuma atšķirībām. Bakalaura darba mērķis- Noskaidrot studējošo, kuri studē studiju programmā ’’Māszinības’’ un praktizējošo māsu vērtējumu par māsas profesijas prestižu. Bakalaura darba hipotēze- Pastāv vērtējumu atšķirība par māsas profesijas prestižu abās respondentu grupās. Pētījums ietver abu respondentu grupu anketēšanu, izmantojot pašas izveidotu anketu. Rezultātos var secināt, ka nepastāv būtiskas atšķirības māsas profesijas prestiža novērtējumā starp abām respondentu grupām. Prestižs tika novērtēts kā vidējs. Taču, ir vērojamas būtiskas atšķirības respondentu viedoklī par to kā citi vērtē māsas profesijas prestižu. Studentu grupā vairākums uzskata, ka apkārtējie cilvēki māsas profesijas prestižu vērtē kā zemu. Papildus tam, vairākums studentu neieteiktu māsas profesiju citiem kā veiksmīgu karjeras izvēli. Bakalaura darba apjoms: 62 lapas, to skaitā, 22 izmantotie informācijas avoti, 29 tabulas un 2 attēli.

The bachelor’s work provides insights into the nursing profession, prestige role in the context of the profession, prestige of the nursing profession, the evaluation of the prestige of the profession by students of the study programme ’’Nursing’’ and working nurses. Prestige plays a major role in a professional and representative environment. The nursing profession is wrapped with different stereotypes and confusion about the base of the profession, which results in prestige evaluation differences. The purpose of the bachelor’s work is to clarify the evaluation of the prestige of the profession by students of the study programme ’’Nursing’’ and working nurses. The hypothesis of the bachelor’s work- there is a difference in evaluation about the prestige of the nursing profession in both respondent groups. The study involves a self created questionnaire. The results suggests that there are no significant differences in the evaluation of the prestige of the profession between both respondent groups. Prestige was rated average. But there are significant differences in both group views on how others rate the prestige of the nursing profession. In the student group, the majority believe that others rate the prestige of the nursing profession low. In addition, most students would not recommend the nursing profession to others as a successful career choice. The bachelor’s work consists of: 62 pages, including 22 information sources used, 29 tables and 2 images.
