Sieviešu zināšanas un pieredze par kontracepciju un mākslīgu grūtniecības pārtraukšanu

Abstract

ANOTĀCIJA Bakalaura darba tēma: “Sieviešu zināšanas un pieredze par kontracepciju un mākslīgu grūtniecības pārtraukšanu”. Literatūrā tiek uzsvērts, ka zināšanas un pieredze par kontracepcijas metožu veidiem un mākslīgās grūtniecības pārtraukšanas iespējām ietekmē sieviešu spēju pieņemt informētus lēmumus par savu reproduktīvo veselību un izvēlēties atbilstošu metodi savai dzīves situācijai (Johansson et al., 2023; WHO, 2022). Pētījums par sieviešu zināšanām un pieredzi par kontracepciju un mākslīgu grūtniecības pārtraukšanu ir aktuāls un nozīmīgs. Tēma saistīta ar reproduktīvo veselību, kā arī ar seksuālo un reproduktīvo tiesību ievērošanu. Latvijā šī tēma ir maz pētīta. Pētījuma mērķis: Noskaidrot sieviešu zināšanas un pieredzi par kontracepciju un mākslīgu grūtniecības pārtraukšanu. Hipotēze: Atšķirīgās un nepietiekamās sieviešu zināšanas un pieredze par kontracepciju un mākslīgu grūtniecības pārtraukšanu nosaka kontracepcijas izvēli. Bakalaura darba teorētiskajā daļā veikts literatūras apskats par kontracepcijas veidiem, to lietošanas mērķiem un klasifikāciju, kā arī sieviešu attieksmi un zināšanas par kontracepcijas veidiem ietekmējošajiem faktoriem. Veikts pētījums, kura realizācijai izvēlēta kvantitatīvā pētniecības metode ar instrumentu – aptaujas anketu. Pētījuma respondenti ir 60 sievietes, kuras ieradušās uz mākslīgas grūtniecības pārtraukšanas procedūru un piekrīt piedalīties pētījumā, un 60 sievietes, kuras ieradušās uz vizīti pie ginekologa un piekrīt piedalīties pētījumā XY veselības aprūpes iestādē Rīgā. Pētījuma beigās izdarīti secinājumi un gūts hipotēzes apstiprinājums.

The literature emphasizes that knowledge and experience concerning the types of contraceptive methods and options for artificial termination of pregnancy usually influence women's ability to make informed and calculated decisions about their reproductive health and to choose the appropriate method according to their life situation (Johansson et al., 2023; WHO, 2022).

Research on women's knowledge and experience regarding contraception as well as artificial termination of pregnancy is relevant and significant in the profession associated with reproductive health, and also with the observance of sexual and reproductive rights. In Latvia, this topic has been studied insufficiently.

Research objective: To determine women's knowledge and experience regarding contraception and artificial termination of pregnancy.

Hypothesis: Diverse and insufficient women's knowledge and experience regarding contraception and artificial termination of pregnancy determine the choice of contraception. In the theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis, a literature review has been conducted on the types of contraception, their purposes and classification, as well as women's attitudes and knowledge about the factors influencing contraception types. A study has been conducted using a quantitative research method with a survey questionnaire the survey instrument. The study respondents are 60 women who have come for the artificial termination of pregnancy procedure and agree to participate in the study, and 60 women who have come for a visit to a gynecologist and agree to participate in the study at the XY healthcare institution in Riga.

Conclusions have been drawn and the hypothesis confirmed at the end of the study.
