Māsu zināšanas un viedoklis sāpju vadīšanā paliatīvās aprūpes nodaļā.

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Māsu zināšanas un viedoklis sāpju vadīšanā paliatīvās aprūpes nodaļā”. Sāpes, neskatoties uz to ārstēšanu, vēljoprojām ir izplatītākā aprūpes problēma paliatīvajā aprūpē. Neārstētām vai nekvalitatīvi pārvaldītām sāpēm ir liela ietekme uz cilvēku dzīves kvalitāti, un tās var atstāt fiziskas, psiholoģiskas, sociālas un ekonomiski negatīvas sekas. Māsām ir galvenā loma sāpju novērtēšanā un to pārvaldībā, jo māsas ir ciešākā saskarsmē ar pacientu nekā citi ārstniecības darbinieki. Pacientu neadekvāta sāpju ārstēšana bieži vien ir saistīta ar zināšanu trūkumu un negatīvo attieksmi par sāpju vadību māsu vidū. Ņemot vērā sāpju izplatību paliatīvajā aprūpē un māsu lomu sāpju vadībā, ir nepieciešams veikt pētījumu ar mērķi noskaidrot māsu zināšanas un viedokli sāpju vadīšanā paliatīvās aprūpes nodaļā. Bakalaura darba mērķa sasniegšanai tika pielietota kvantitatīvā pētniecības metode - neeksperimentāls šķērsgriezuma salīdzinošs pētījums. Pētījuma mērķa sasniegšanas nolūkos tika izstrādāts pētniecības instruments - autores izstrādāta aptaujas anketa, kas sastāv no 23 jautājumiem. Kopā tika anketēti 108 respondenti. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no teorijas daļas, kas sevī iekļauj paliatīvās aprūpes vispārēju raksturojumu, sāpju raksturojumu un to izplatību paliatīvajā aprūpē, kā arī aprakstu par sāpju vadību. Bakalaura darbā tika iekļauti pētījuma rezultāti un to analīze, kā arī secinājumi. Galvenie pētījuma rezultāti apliecina to, ka māsu darba stāžs ir saistīts ar māsu zināšanām un viedokli sāpju vadīšanā. Darba gaitā noskaidrots, ka māsām ar lielāku darba stāžu ir labākas zināšanas nekā māsām ar mazāku darba stāžu.

The title of the present paper is “Nurses' Knowledge and Beliefs about Pain Management in Palliative Care Unit”. Pain, despite its treatment, remains the most common care problem in palliative care. Untreated or poorly managed pain has a major impact on peoples quality of life, and it can leave physical, psychological, social and economically negative consequences. Nurses have a key role in pain assessment and management, as they are in closer contact with the patient than other medical stuff. Incompetent pain management of patients is often related with lack of knowledge and negative attitudes for pain management among nurses. Considering the prevalence of pain in palliative care and the role of nurses in pain management, it is necessary to conduct a research with the aim to find out the knowledge and opinion of nurses of pain management in the palliative care unit. Quantitative research method was used to achieve the aim of the present bachelor thesis – non-experimental cross-sectional comparative study. In order to achieve the aim of the present research, a research instrument was advanced– a questionnaire developed by the author, consisting of 23 questions. A total of 108 respondents were surveyed. The bachelors thesis consists of theoretical part, which includes a general description of palliative care, characteristics of pain and its prevalence in palliative care, as well as a description of pain management. Research results and their analysis, as well as conclusions were included in the bachelor thesis. The main results of the research confirm that seniority of nurses is related to their knowledge and opinion in pain management. It was clarified during the present paper that nurses with more seniority have better knowledge than nurses with less seniority.
