Sociālo darbinieku attieksme pret seksuālajām minoritātēm

Abstract

Šī darba mērķis bija izpētīt praktizējošu sociālo darbinieku attieksmi pret seksuālajām minoritātēm. Lai mērķi sasniegtu, tika īstenoti vairāki uzdevumi: tika veikta zinātniskās literatūras analīze, kurā tika raksturota attieksmes veidošanās kā process, uzskaitītas attieksmes komponentes, kas var ietekmēt personas attieksmi attiecībā uz seksuālajām minoritātēm, raksturota sociālo darbinieku iespējamā līdzdarbošanās seksuālo minoritāšu tiesību īstenošanā un, lai noskaidrota Latvijas sociālo darbinieku attieksmi pret seksuālajām minoritātēm, tika veikta to aptauja. Pētījumā noskaidrots, ka kopumā Latvijas sociālajiem darbiniekiem ir pozitīva attieksme pret seksuālajām minoritātēm. Trešajai daļa no respondentiem nav bijusi saskarsmē ar LGBTQ+ kopienas pārstāvjiem, taču starp tiem respondentiem, kuri ir draugos ar seksuālajām minoritātēm, ir novērojams lielāks pozitīvo atbilžu īpatsvars, tāpēc secināms, ka draudzība ar seksuālajām minoritātēm labvēlīgi ietekmē sociālo darbinieku attieksmi. Noskaidrots, ka Latvijā praktizējošie sociālie darbinieki nav gatavi nedz demonstrēt LGBTQ+ kopienas solidaritātes simbolus, nedz piedalīties demonstrācijā, lai veicinātu LGBTQ+ kopienas pilsoniskās tiesības.

The aim of this paper was to explore the social work practitioners' attitudes towards sexual minorities. In order to achieve this goal, several tasks were carried out: an analysis of the scientific literature, which described the formation of attitudes as a process, listed the components of attitudes that can influence a person's attitude towards sexual minorities, described the possible involvement of social workers in the realization of the rights of sexual minorities, and a survey was conducted to find out the Latvian social workers' attitudes towards sexual minorities. The survey found that Latvian social workers generally have a positive attitude towards sexual minorities. One third of the respondents have not been in contact with members of the LGBTQ+ community, but among those respondents who are friends with sexual minorities, there is a higher proportion of positive responses, suggesting that friendship with sexual minorities has a positive impact on the attitudes of social workers. It was found that Latvian practising social workers are neither willing to display symbols of solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community nor to participate in demonstrations to promote the civil rights of the LGBTQ+ community.
