| lv-LV |
dc.description.abstract | Title of the bachelor's thesis is " Experience of cardiology patients in the use of smart heart rate monitoring devices". Cardiovascular diseases are a leading cause of death worldwide, that is why it is necessary to explore new approaches and technologies to help individuals monitor their heart health. The aim of this study was to explore the experiences of cardiovascular patients with smart devices for heart rate monitoring and their utilization in healthcare. To achieve this research goal, a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional research method was employed. The study involved participants (n=105) with known cardiovascular diseases, aged 21 to 60 years. The participants were asked to complete a questionnaire consisting of 34 questions, designed by the author. Based on the results obtained from the study, it can be concluded that age and education influence the usage of these devices, while income does not exhibit statistically significant differences. Respondents in the "up to 40 years" age group tended to evaluate the devices more positively compared to those in the "41 and above" age group. Respondents with higher levels of education also tended to provide more favorable ratings for the devices compared to respondents with intermediate or vocational education. The bachelor's thesis consists of 40 pages, including 15 tables, 7 diagrams, 34 appendices, and references to 49 sources. | en-UK |
