Empātijas un emocionālās izdegšanas sakarība praktizējošām māsām ambulatorajā un stacionārajā aprūpē

Abstract

Empātija un izdegšana ir divi saistīti jēdzieni, kas ir svarīgi māsu praksē, tāpēc ir rūpīgi jāizpēta precīza saistība starp abiem. Pētījuma mērķis – izpētīt, vai pastāv korelācija starp emocionālās izdegšanas un empātijas rādītājiem praktizējošām māsām, un pārbaudīt, vai pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības emocionālās izdegšanas un empātijas rādītājos starp dažādu profilu māsām. Pētījuma izlase sastāv no 82 māsām. Izlase tika sadalīta divās vienādās grupās atkarībā no darba profila – praktizējošas māsas ambulatorajā aprūpē un praktizējošas māsas stacionārajā aprūpē. Pētījumā tika izmantoti divi instrumenti – empātijas Starppersonu reaģētspējas indekss un Maslačas izdegšanas aptauja. Pētījuma rezultāti parāda, ka negatīva, nozīmīga korelācija starp empātijas un izdegšanas apakšskalām tika konstatēta personisko sasniegumu un empātijas apakšskalās. Maslačas izdegšanas aptaujas un empātijas Starppersonu reaģētspējas indeksa rezultātos nepastāv statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības starp dažādu profilu māsām. Empathy and burnout are two related concepts that are important in nursing practice, so the relationship between them needs to be carefully explored. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there is any correlation between emotional burnout and empathy among practising nurses, as well as to clarify whether there are statistically significant differences in emotional burnout and empathy scores between nurses with different profiles. The study sample includes 82 nurses. The sample has been divided into two equal groups depending on the work profile: practising nurses in ambulatory care and inpatient care. The following tools were used in the study: the Interpersonal Responsiveness Index of Empathy and Maslach Burnout Survey. Results of the study presents significant negative correlation between the empathy and burnout in personal achievement and empathy subscales, and absence of any statistically significant differences between nurses with different profiles.
