Izraēlas un Saūda Arābijas divpusējās attiecibās “The Line” pilsētbūvniecības kontekstā 2014-2022

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “Izraēlas un Saūda Arābijas divpusējās attiecibās “The Line” pilsētbūvniecības kontekstā 2014-2022” tiek analizētas Saūda Arābijas un Izraēlas divpusējās politiskas attiecības caur “The Line” projekta prizmu. Lai skaidrotu attiecību izmaiņas, darbā tiek izmantots savstarpējais atkarības liberālisms, kura galvenais pamatprincips ir, ja ekonomiskā sadarbība attīstās, tad attīstās arī politiskās attiecības. Darbā tiek aprakstītas Saūda Arābijas un Izraēlas politiskās attiecības no 2014. gada līdz 2022. gada beigām. 2014. gads tiek izvēlēts, kā sākuma punkts apskatei Gazas kara dēļ.Vēlāk darbā tiek aplūkots pats “Neom” projekts un “The Line” apakšprojekts. Darba noslēgumā tiek aplūkotas attiecības no 2018. līdz 2022. gadam un tiek apskatīts vai “The Line” projekts ir nesis kādu pienesumu attiecibām starp abām valstīm. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot vai “The Line” projekta plānotā būvniecība ir veicinājusi Izraēlas un Saūda Arābijas attiecību normalizāciju laika posmā no 2018. gada līdz 2022. gadam. Pētījuma uzdevumi ir: 1.Veikt savstarpējās atkarības liberālisma teorētiskā ietvara izstrādi. 2.Identificēt kādas bija Izraēlas uz Saūda Arābijas divpusējās politiskās attiecības laika rāmī no 2014. gada līdz 2017. gadam. 3.Veikt ieskatu par «Neom» projektu un «The Line» apakšprojektu no 2018. gada līdz 2022. gadam. 4.Veikt dokumentu analīzi par “The Line” projekta potenciālo ietekmi uz Izraēlas un Saūda Arābijas attiecību normalizāciju pēc 2018. gada. Darba hipotēze ir «The Line» projekta realizācija ir veicinājusi Izraēlas un Saūda Arābijas attiecību normalizāciju pēc 2018. gada. Noslēgumā autors secina, ka Saūda Arābijas un Izraēlas politiskās attiecības ir uzlabojušās no 2018. gada līdz 2022. gadam, atsaucoties uz datiem no 2014. gada līdz 2017. gadam. Pamatojoties uz teoriju, “The Line” projektam vajadzētu būt vienam no kontributoriem attiecību uzlabošanā, bet pēc pieejamajiem datiem netiek atrasti pierādījumi, kas to apliecinātu. Tādējādi hipotēze tiek apgāzta.

Bachelor’s thesis “Israeli-Saudi Arabia relations in the framework of "The Line" project (2014-2022)” focuses on analysis of Saudi Arabia and Israel bilateral political relationship throw the framework of “The Line” project. To explain this relationship, in this work author uses interdependence liberalism, which main idea is, if economic interdependence is growing then the political interdependence and relations will grow as well. In this work author looks at Saudi Arabia and Israel relations from 2014 until end of 2022. 2014 is chosen because of Gaza war. “The Line” is part of “Neom” project. Later in the job author looked at “Neom” and “The Line” project. At the end of the job author looked at Saudi Arabia and Israel political relations from 2018 until 2022. While looking at relations author looked if there is a connection to “The Line” project. The main research goal of thesis is to determine if “The Line” project planned construction has contributed to Israel and Saudi Arabia normalization of relations in the period from 2018 to 2022. Research tasks included: 1. Develop theoretical framework for interdependence liberalism. 2. Identify what bilateral political relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia in time frame from 2014 to 2017. 3. Take an insight into the "Neom" project and "The Line" sub-project from 2018 to 2022. 4. Conduct a document analysis on the potential impact of The Line project on the normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia after 2018. The hypothesis of the work is that the implementation of "The Line" project has contributed to the normalization of political relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia after 2018. In conclusion, the author concludes that political relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel have improved from 2018 to 2022, referring to data from 2014 to 2017. Based on theory “The Line” project should be one of the contributors to the improvement of the relationship, but according to the available data, no evidence is found to confirm this. Thus, the hypothesis falls.
