Radošais darbs – fotomontāžu izveide par Latvijas sabiedrības priekšstatiem par nāvi un miršanu.

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs "Radošais darbs – fotomontāžu veidošana par Latvijas sabiedrības priekšstatiem par nāvi un miršanu" apskata 21. gadsimtā dzīvojošo latviešu priekšstatus par nāves tēlu. Papildus apskatīti kādi ir šo cilvēku reliģiskie vai filozofiskie uzskati. Kā tie ietekmē, vai neietekmē pētījumā intervēto personu priekšstatus un komunikāciju par nāvi. No apkopotās informācijas tiek izveidoti fotomontāžas darbi, kuru galvenais mērķis ir raisīt sarunu ar cilvēkiem par nāvi valstī, kur no tās diskusijas mēdz izvairīties (kā tas notiek arī citās valstīs). Domāts, ka caur intervijām un vizuāliem darbiem cilvēkos spētu radīt kaut mazu vēlmi apdomāties par savu mirstību, saviem tuviniekiem un ko mēs īsti atstāsim pēc savas dzīves. Fotomontāža priekš šī radošā bakalaura darba ir laba izvēle, jo oriģināli tā tika izmantota, lai paustu viedokli vai domas par sabiedrībā sociāliem vai politiskiem jautājumiem. Nāve ir viens no tematiem, kas skar mūs ne tikai personīgā, bet arī birokrātiskā līmēnī. Tāpēc, lai spētu veikt izmaiņas un ieviest jauninājumus saistībā ar dzīves beigu saistošiem jautājiem (apbēdīšana, dzīves beigu aprūpe, testamenti utt.), ir svarīgi pakāpeniski radīt vidi, kur var brīvāk diskutēt par nāvi. Viennozīmīgi, 10 personu intervēšana nevar pastiprināt nāves pozitīvisma kustību Latvijā, taču lenām nākotnē tā varētu kļūt normalizēta Latvijā caur padziļinātu pētniecību saistībā ar nāvi un miršanu. Fotomontāžas darbi tiek veidoti, lai tos izmantotu zinātnieku projekts "Memento Mori: Dzīves noslēgums, nāve un iztēlotā pēcnāve mūsdienu Latvijas iedzīvotāju dzīvespasaulē" kā ilustrācijas grāmatai Death in the Contemporary Latvian Lifeworld: Experiences, Attitudes, Imagination. Bakalaura darbā teorētiskā daļā tiek apskatītas tēmas kā nāves apziņa, nāves pozitīvisma kustība, nāves noliegšana un fotomontāžas vēsture. Radošās koncepcijas daļā apkātīta nāves tēla simbolika, stila iedvesma priekš fotomontāžas (Hanna Hehas un Marta Rolseres darbi) un aprakstīts detalizēts fotomontāžas izveides process.

The bachelor’s thesis “Creative work – the creation of photomontages about Latvian society's ideas about death and dying” looks at how Latvians living in the 21st century percieve the image of death. Further clarifying the religious or philosophical beliefs of these people. Seeing whether or whether not they affect their preconceptions of death and how they communicate about the topic of death. Through the information gathered from the interviews – photomontage works are created. The main purpose of them is to raise a conversation with people about death in a country where people tend to avoid discussing about death related topics (as is the case in other countries). It is thought that, through interviews and visual works, people would be able to create even a little bit of willingness to think about their mortality, their loved ones, and what we will really leave after our lives. The format of photomontage for this creative bachelor's work is a good choice because originaly they were used to express opinions or thoughts on social or political issues in society. Death is one topic that touches us not only in a personal but also in a bureaucratic way. Therefore, in order to be able to make changes and innovate in end-of-life related topics (burial choices, end of life care, wills, etc.), it is important to gradually create an environment where death can be discussed more freely. Clearly, interviewing 10 persons cannot reinforce the movement of death positivity in Latvia, but it could slowly become normalised in Latvia in the future through in-depth research related to death and dying. Photomontages are created to be used by the scientist project “Memento Mori: End of Life, Death and Imagined Afterlife in the Contemporary Latvian Lifeworld” as illustrations for book Death in the Contemporary Latvian Lifeworld: Experiences, Attitudes, Imagination. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis explores the topics of death awareness movement, death positive movement, the denial of death and the history of photomontage. The creative concept explores the symbols and the image of death, the inspiration of style for the photomontages (mostly works by Hannah Höch and Martha Rolser) and describes the detailed process of creating photomontages.
