The topic of the bachelor's thesis is "Career path of graduates of the bachelor's program "Sociology of Organizations and Management" at Riga Stradins University". The work was designed to find out what the career options are for graduates after graduating from this bachelor's program, as well as to find out how their career path has developed. The first chapter of the paper examines various career theories and career development in youth and adulthood. The second chapter describes the career opportunities of sociologists and their demand in the Latvian labor market. The third chapter describes the origin of the program "Sociology of Organizations and Management", its content and the tasks to be performed. The empirical research was conducted using the qualitative method - semi-structured interviews. During the interviews, questions related to study time and work were asked, for example, did you work during your studies, how big a role does higher education play in creating a career, what are the career opportunities of sociologists. 15 graduates and the former head of the "Sociology of Organizations and Management" program were interviewed. Based on the literature analysis and the results of the conducted research, conclusions were drawn that a sociologist can build his career by working in human resources, state administration or sociological research centers. Currently, graduates hold such positions as: study assistant, customer service specialist, office administrator, project manager, civil servant in the state administration, human resources specialist. Graduates of the "Sociology of Organizations and Management" program have mainly developed their careers along the horizontal career path, as they have raised their qualifications and strengthened their position on the labor market, which is characteristic of the horizontal career development path. However, 3 graduates have developed their careers along the vertical career path, which is natural, these graduates have also obtained a master's degree, thus they occupy higher and more responsible positions.en-UK
