Postpadomju urbānās ainavas atainojums nakts fotogrāfijā.

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Postpadomju urbānās ainavas atainojums nakts fotogrāfijā”, darba mērķis ir izveidot fotostāstu par postpadomju urbāno ainavu izmantojot nakts fotogrāfiju. Darba jautājums – kā, balstoties nakts fotogrāfijas un gleznainās fotogrāfijas teorijās, ir iespējams atainot postpadomju urbāno vidi? Darbs izstrādāts vispirms apkopojot informāciju un teorētisko materiālu par urbāno vidi un fotogrāfiju, gleznaino fotogrāfiju un veicot labas prakses piemēru analīzi. Uz darba teorētiskajā daļā izklāstītās informācijas tika turpmāk bāzēta darba fotosērijas izveide un aprakstīta idejas būtība un tās realizācija koncepcijas daļā. Darba ietvaros veidotā fotosērija sastāv no 10 melnbaltām digitālajām fotogrāfijām, kurās ir atainota postpadomju pilsētvide, izmantojot nakts fotogrāfiju un gleznaino fotogrāfiju. Darba gaitā kā viens no galvenajiem secinājumiem tika izvirzīts konstatējums, ka caur fotogrāfiju ir iespējams iemūžināt un izskaistināt jebkādu subjektu neatkarīgi no sabiedrībā valdošiem pieņēmumiem par tā skaistumu un estētiku. Nakts fotogrāfija paver plašas iespējas, lai saskatītu ierastu vidi jaunā gaismā, un apvienojumā ar gleznaino fotogrāfiju, kuras saknes ir meklējamas piktoriālisma virzienā un tiecas veidot fotogrāfijas pielīdzināmas gleznām, tiek radīts rīks, kas paver citādāku skatījumu uz apkārtējo vidi. Izmantojot nakts un gleznaino fotogrāfiju, bija iespējams atainot postpadomju vidi kā interpretāciju un enerģijas pilnu, paļaujoties uz vidē pastāvošajiem apstākļiem nakts laikā un fotogrāfijas dažādo elementu veiksmīgu mijiedarbību.

The topic of the bachelor thesis is “Depiction of post-Soviet urban landscape in night photography”, the aim of the thesis is to create a photo series about the post-Soviet urban landscape using night photography. The thesis question - how is it possible to depict the post-Soviet urban environment based on the theories of night photography and pictorial photography? The thesis was developed by first gathering information and theoretical material about the urban environment and photography, pictorial photography and analyzing examples of good practice. The creation of a photo series of the work was further based on the information presented in the theoretical part of the work, and the essence of the idea and its realization were described in the concept section. The photo series consists of 10 black and white digital photographs depicting the post-Soviet urban environment using night photography and pictorial photography. As one of the main conclusions it was stated that through photography it is possible to capture and beautify any subject, regardless of the assumptions prevailing in society about its beauty and aesthetics. Night photography opens up rich opportunities to see the everday environment in a new light, and in combination with pictorial photography, where often the goal is to make photographs comparable to paintings, a tool is created that opens a different perspective on the surrounding environment. Using night and pictorial photography, it was possible to depict the post-Soviet environment as full of interpretation and energy, relying on the conditions existing in the environment during the night and the successful interaction of the different elements of photography.
