Kopsavilkums
Darba apjoms bez
pielikumiem ir 24 lapaspuses un pielikumi 8 lapaspuses.
Sleep plays an important role in the quality of life, many life processes occur during sleep. Sleep disturbance or decreased sleep quality leads to physical and psycho-emotional deterioration, deterioration of memory, decreased concentration and attention, aggression and behavioral disorders, decreased rate of psychomotor reactions, which adversely affect the work. Poor sleep quality among nurses is a critical issue in the health care system. This not only leads to nursing health problems, but also to lower performance and a higher risk of medical errors, which can jeopardize patient safety. The aim of the study was to compare the level of sleep quality between intensive care and outpatient nurses. The study used a quantitative - crossover comparative study method. The research tool is a questionnaire designed by another author. The questionnaire name is Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The questionnaire was developed at the University of Pittsburgh. The number of study participants is 107 nurses, and improbable targeted selection was used to select participants. The results of the study show that PSQI, the overall average ratings between intensive care and outpatient nurses differ, but there is no statistically significant difference according to statistical data. Outpatient nurses had a mean overall PSQI score of 8.05 out of 21 points and intensive care nurses had a mean PSQI score of 9.08 points, indicating reduced sleep quality due to sleep disorders. In this bachelor's work 7 tables, 3 pictures, 20 references. The volume of the work without appendices is 24 pages and the appendices 8 pages.
