This thesis explores whether ergonomic workplace modifications for pregnant nurses reduce pregnancy complications. It talks about the nurses being exposed to physical, chemical, and psychosocial risks. Utilizing a scoping review of 30 peer reviewed studies published between 1990 and 2024, the evidence showed that prolonged standing, heavy lifting and exposure to radiation, antineoplastic agents and disinfectants increase risks of miscarriages, preterm births and musculoskeletal pain. This paper highlights that ergonomic interventions such as mechanical lifts, sit-stand workstations and shift adjustments dramatically decrease these complications. This study concludes that by combining ergonomic redesign, supportive frameworks and positive workplace culture, outcomes of both maternal and fetal health effectively improves.en-UK
