Annotation: Hand dermatitis is a common occupational skin condition among healthcare workers, often caused by frequent exposure to irritants such as disinfectants, soaps, and gloves. During the COVID-19 pandemic, intensified hand hygiene practices significantly increased its prevalence worldwide. This literature review analyzed 30 peer-reviewed studies published between 2020 and 2024 to identify occupational, hygiene-related, and personal risk factors for hand dermatitis. The findings revealed that repetitive hand washing, excessive use of alcohol-based sanitizers, and prolonged glove wear were the most significant contributors, particularly among individuals with atopic predisposition. The review emphasizes the importance of preventive measures, institutional support, and education to maintain skin health while ensuring effective infection control.
