Tehnoloģiju izmantošana migrēnas pacientu izglītošanā Latvijā

Abstract

Kvalifikācijas darba “Tehnoloģiju izmantošana migrēna pacientu izglītošanā Latvijā” mērķis ir izpētīt un analizēt tehnoloģiju izmantošanu migrēnas pacientu izglītošanā Latvijā. Pētījuma aktualitāte pamatojama ar to, ka migrēna kā Latvijas, tā visas pasaules kontekstā ir plaši izplatīta slimība, tomēr joprojām vērojams pacientu un mediķu zināšanu, prasmju un pieredzes trūkums efektīvas slimības ārstēšanā. Ārsta palīga profesijā darbs ar migrēnas pacientiem ir plaši izplatīts, tāpēc svarīgi uzzināt, kur un kā pacienti var saņemt sev nepieciešamo informāciju mūsdienīgā veidā, kur visbiežāk informācija tiek meklēta un kāda informācija pacientiem trūkst. Darbā apskatīta un analizēta migrēnas pacientu izglītošanas specifika Latvijā un citviet pasaulē; analizēti un izvērtēti divi ar migrēnu saistīti sociālā tīkla Facebook profili, veicot tiem brīvpieejas digitālo informācijas avotu kvantitatīvo kontentanalīzi. Veicot pētījumu, noskaidrots mērķauditorijas viedoklis par ar migrēnu saistītās, izglītojošās informācijas pieejamību un lietderību. Pētījuma ietvaros noteiktas korelācijas starp aptaujāto migrēnas pacientu demogrāfiskajiem datiem, slimības ilgumu un tehnoloģiju izmantošanu izglītošanās procesā. Kvalifikācijas darbā izmantotas empīriskā pētījuma metodes: brīvpieejas digitālo informācijas avotu kvantitatīvā kontentanalīze un aptauja. Aptaujāti 385 migrēnas pacienti Latvijā, veikta kontentanalīze Vivendi galvassāpju centra un Latvijas Galvassāpju pacientu biedrības vietnes Facebook profiliem laika posmā no 2020.gada 1.janvāra līdz 2021.gada 31.decembrim. Izpētes rezultātā apkopotas tehnoloģiju izmantošanas iespējas migrēnas pacientu izglītošanā Latvijā, kuras mediķi var izmantot savā praksē, paaugstinot pacientu zināšanu līmeni un noteiktas to pilnveidošanas iespējas. Izvirzītā hipotēze – pastāv cieša korelācija starp migrēnas pacientu demogrāfiskiem datiem, slimības ilgumu un tehnoloģiju izmantošanu izglītošanās procesā – ir apstiprinājusies; tehnoloģiju lietojums mainās atkarībā no slimnieku vecuma, izglītības līmeņa un slimības ilguma. Biežāk tehnoloģiskos risinājumus izmanto gados jaunāki pacienti, kā arī pacienti ar augstāku izglītības līmeni un tie, kuri ar migrēnu slimo ilgāk. The aim of the paper “Use of Technologies in Migraine Patients Education in Latvia” is to study and analyse usage of technologies in educating migraine patients in Latvia. The topicality of the study is justified by the fact that migraine is a widespread disease both in Latvia and the whole world, however, there is still lack of knowledge, skills and experience of patients and doctors in terms of effective treatment of the disease. As the medical assistants work with migraine patients extensively, it is important to know where and how patients can get the necessary information in a modern way, where information is most often sought for and what information do patients lack. The author of the paper surveys and analyses the specifics of educating migraine patients in Latvia and elsewhere; considers and evaluates two Facebook profiles linked with migraine by means of quantitative content analysis of open access digital information sources, as well as summarises the opinion of the target audience about the availability and usefulness of migraine-related educational information. The study identifies correlations between the demographic data of the surveyed migraine patients, the duration of the disease and the use of technologies in the educational process. The author of the qualification paper used empirical research methods such as quantitative content analysis of open access digital information sources, and questionnaire. 385 migraine patients were surveyed, and content analysis of the Facebook profiles of Headache Centre Vivendi and Latvian Society of Headache Patients was performed (period between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2021). In the result of the research, the author of the paper summarises the possibilities of using technologies in the education of migraine patients in Latvia, which physicians can use practically to increase the level of patients' knowledge, and identifies the opportunities for improvement. The hypothesis that there is a strong correlation between the demographics of migraine patients, the duration of the disease and the use of technologies in education has been confirmed; the use of technologies varies depending on the age of the patients, the level of their education and the duration of the illness. Technological solutions are more often used by younger patients, as well as patients with a higher level of education and those suffering from migraines for a longer time.
