Baltā mīkstā parafīna fizikālo īpašību ietekme uz topikālo formu viskozitāti.

Abstract

Topikālu formu izstrādē liela loma ir gatava produkta reoloģiskiem parametriem. Produkta reoloģiskie parametri ir atkarīgi no izmantotu palīgvielu īpašībām un to savstarpējās mijiedarbības. Izstrades procesa paātrināšanai būtu vērtīgi paredzēt gatavā produkta reoloģiskās īpašības pēc palīgvielu kvalitātes specifikāciju datiem. Viena no biežāk izmantotajām palīgvielam ar mainīgu sastāvu un līdz ar to arī mainīgām fizikālām īpašībām ir baltais mīkstais parafīns. Pētnieciskais darbs tika veikts AS “Grindeks” Aktīvo farmaceitisko vielu un Gatavo zāļu formu izstrādes grupā. Darba mērķis ir veikt literatūras apskatu par viskozitātes nozīmi topikālo produktu izstrādes laikā un noskaidrot, vai baltā mīkstā parafīna fizikālie parametri, kas ir piliena kušanas punkts un konsistence, var ietekmēt gatavā produkta viskozitāti. Tika secināts, ka dati par baltā mīkstā parafīna fizikālajiem parametriem nav pietiekami, lai secinātu par izstrādātā produkta viskozitāti. Tādēļ, izvēloties balto mīksto parafīnu, ir svarīgi pievērst uzmanību ražotāju rekomendācijām un papildus informācijai par balto mīksto parafīnu (galvenajām pielietojuma sfērām, eļļu absorbcijas spēju u.c.).

The rheological characteristics of the finished product play a major role in the development of topical product. The rheological parameters of the product depend on the properties of the excipients used and their interaction with each other. To speed up product development process, it would be valuable to predict the rheological properties of the finished product from the quality specifications of the excipients. One of the commonly used excipient with variable composition and therefore variable physical properties is white soft paraffin. The research work ”Influence of physical properties of white soft paraffin on viscosity of topical forms” was carried out in the Final Dosage Forms Development Division of JSC “Grindeks”. The aim of the thesis is to review the literature on the role of viscosity during topical product development and to carry out research whether the physical parameters of white soft paraffin, which are drop melting point and consistency, can influence the viscosity of the finished topical product. It was concluded that data on the physical parameters of white soft paraffin are not sufficient to conclude on the viscosity of a developed product. Therefore, when selecting white soft paraffin, it is important to pay attention to the manufacturers' recommendations and additional information on white soft paraffin (main applications, oil absorption capacity, etc.).
