Occupational Neck Disorders

Abstract

Profesionālie kakla traucējumi ir ar darbu saistītu muskuļu un skeleta sistēmas (MSS) slimību traucējumu grupa. Tiem ir daudzfaktoru izcelsme un nopietna nozīme darbinieku sliktas veselības un ar to saistīto darba izdevumu ziņā. Fiziskā darba faktoriem, kas var veicināt MSS slimību attīstību, tradicionāli tiek pievērsta liela uzmanība, samazinot to rašanās risku. Pēdējā desmitgadē uzmanība tiek pievērsta fizisko un psiholoģisko faktoru lomai un šo elementu mijiedarbībai. Nepieciešamas precīzas zināšanas par kakla arodslimībām un to izcelsmes riska faktoriem, lai veicinātu kakla traucējumu ārstēšanas un profilakses iespējas.

Occupational neck disorders are a group of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). They are of multi-factorial origin and display a serious burden in terms of poor health of employees and related occupational expenses. Physical work factors which can contribute to MSDs have traditionally received a lot of attention when decreasing the risk of occurrence. In the recent decade the role of physical and psychological factors and the interaction between these elements are brought into focus. Precise knowledge of occupational neck disorders and their risk factors are required to promote options for the intervention and prevention of neck disorders.
