Chemotherapy Treatment Nowadays for Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, kāda ir ķīmijterapija mūsdienās, cik efektīva tā ir slimību ārstēšanā un kādas blakusparādības tā var izraisīt. Ķīmijterapija ir ārstēšanas metode, kas tiek izmantota pacientiem, kuri cieš no vēža un audzēja attīstības ķermenī. Tā ir balstīta uz intravenozu medikamentu ievadi ķermenī konkrētos laika intervālos. Ievadītie medikamenti izraisa vēžu šūnu bojāeju, taču šis process nav selektīvs, tāpēc bojā iet arī veselas ķermeņa šūnas. Tas ir ķīmijterapijas galvenais trūkums, lai gan ķīmijterapija kopā ar citām ārstniecības metodēm, piemēram, ķirurģiju un staru terapiju sniedz labus rezultātus un iespēju pacientiem dzīvot. Mūsdienu medicīna un pētījumi ir parādījuši, ka ķīmijterpija ir veiksmīga ārstēšanas metode, taču tā nav pilnīgi izpētīta. Vajadzētu turpmākus pētījumus, kas ļautu izdarīt secinājumus par korelāciju starp ķīmijterapiju un dažām blakusparādībām, kas minētas šajā pētījumā.

The aim of this study is to find out how chemotherapy today is, how effective it is in the treatment of the patient’s disease what side effects it can cause and when its is contraindicated. Chemotherapy is a method of treating patients that suffer from cancer and tumor development in their body. It is based on a intravenous drug delivery system that the patient receives int cycles during a period of time. the drugs that are delivered cause cell death to the cancer cells but the prosses of it is not a selective prosses that is why it usually damages the normal cells of the body and that is the main cause of chemotherapy side effects, even though side effects are precent the outcome of chemotherapy in the combination with other treatment nodality (surgery and radiotherapy) gives great outcome and life quality for the patients. What today’s medicine and studies can and have shown us is that treatment is god but still not fully understood. There has to be further studies made to be able to conclude and draw a correlation between the chemotherapy and some of the side effects that are discussed in this scientific paper.
