Personības iezīmju raksturojums hokejistiem no 18 - 26 gadiem

Abstract

Šis darbs “Personības iezīmju raksturojums hokejistiem no 18 - 26 gadiem” izstrādāts pamatojoties uz personības iezīmju nozīmi sportā, iespējamību prognozēt virkni nozīmīgus cilvēka dzīves aspektus, kā arī novērtēt profesionālās intereses un spējas, adaptācijas un motivācijas vājos un stipros aspektus, tas ļauj prognozēt un skaidrot cilvēka uzvedību. Darba mērķis bija noskaidrot Latvijā un ārzemēs spēlējošo hokejistu raksturīgākās personības iezīmes – atvērtība pieredzei, apzinīgums, ekstraversija, labvēlīgums, neirotisms. Pētījumā izvirzītā hipotēze - Latvijā un ārzemēs spēlējošo hokejistu personības iezīmes būtiski atšķiras. Pētījumā piedalījās 86 dalībnieki – hokejisti, Latvijas pilsoņi. Latvijas klubu pārstāvji- 47 (54,65%) un ārzemju klubu pārstāvji- 39 (45,35%). Respondenti aizpildīja personības iezīmju aptauju (The Big Five Inventory, BFI-LV, John, Donahue & Kentele, 1991, Benet – Martinez & John, 1998; adaptāciju latviešu valodā ir veicis Austers, 2007, Perepjolkina, Kālis, 2012) Izpētot hokejistu raksturīgākās personības iezīmes – atvērtība pieredzei, apzinīgums, ekstraversija, labvēlīgums, neirotisms, var secināt, ka gan Latvijā, gan ārzemēs spēlējošajiem hokejistiem raksturīgākā personības iezīme ir labvēlīgums, bet ļoti tuvi rezultāti ir atvērtībai pieredzei un apzinīgumam, toties zemākie rezultāti ir neirotismam, salīdzinot iegūtos rezultātus starp Latvijā un ārzemēs spēlējošajiem hokejistiem, tika secināts, ka hipotēze neapstiprinājās, būtiskas atšķirības tika saskatītas tikai apzinīgumam, pārējās iezīmes statistiski būtiski neatšķiras no tā vai hokejists spēlē, un attīstās Latvijā vai ārzemēs.

The research work “Characteristics of personality traits of hockey players aged 18-26” is looking at the role an individual`s personality traits play in professional sport, the ability to predict a number of important aspects of human life, and on assessment of professional interests and abilities, the weaknesses and strenghts for adaptation and motivation, which makes it possible to predict and explain human behaviour. The aim of the research was to find out the main characteristics such as the individual`s level of openness to new experiences, awareness, extraversion, positivity and neurotism of Latvian born ice-hockey players playing in Latvia versus the ones playing abroad. The hypothesis of the study was that the personality features of the Latvian born ice-hockey players playing abroad differ significantly from the players in Latvian clubs. In total 86 ice-hockey players, which all are Latvian citizens, took part in the survey. Slight majority or 47 (54.65%) of players surveyed represent Latvian clubs and 39 (45.35%) represent foreign clubs. Each respondent completed a Personality Trait Survey (The Big Five Inventory, BFI-LV, John, Donahue & Kentele, 1991, Benet – Martinez & John, 1998; Latvian adaptation by Austers, 2007, Perepjolkina, Kalis, 2012) The analysis of the answers received show that the main personality characteristic of both groups surveyed is positivity, followed closely by being open to new experiences and awareness. The least characteristic trait is neurotism. The research results revoked the initial hypothesis - there were no significant differences among the ice-hockey players playing and developing in Latvia and abroad. The research highlighted that the only notable difference was in the level of conscientiousness.
