Zobu higiēnistu zinātniskās darbības iespējas

Abstract

Darbs ir veltīts zinātniskās literatūras izpētei par zobu higiēnistu zinātniskās darbības iespējām pasaulē un Latvijā. Izpētītie literatūras avoti parādīja, ka zobu higiēnistu zinātniskās darbības iespējas ir savstarpēji saistītas ar iegūstamo izglītības līmeni. Autore ir veikusi pētījumu par zobu higiēnistu zinātniskās darbības iespējām, kurā piedalījās sertificēti Latvijas zobu higiēnisti. Pētījumā secināts, ka Latvijas zobu higiēnistiem ir pozitīva attieksme pret pētniecību, taču zināšanu trūkums un praktiskas iespējas pētniecības jomā nepaver iespēju zobu higiēnistiem iesaistīties pētnieciskos darbos. Visi pētījuma dalībnieki uzskata, ka zobu higiēnisti ir jāizglīto par zināniskās darbības pamatprincipiem un iespējām, to nākotnē var nodrošināt bakalaura programmas uzsākšana RSU. Sistemātiskajam literatūras apskatam tika izmantotas EBSCO, ScienceDirect un ClinicalKey datubāzes. Publikācijas tika meklētas ar atslēgas vārdiem dental hygienist and career opportunities, as researcher, opportunities in research, as research personnel, role in research.

The qualification paper is dedicated to research into scientific literature on the research opportunities for dental hygienists in the world and Latvia. The studied literature sources showed that scientific activities of dental hygienists are interlinked with the level of education to be obtained. The author has carried out a study on the possibilities for scientific activities of dental hygienists, in which certified Latvian dental hygienists participated. The study concludes that Latvian dental hygienists have a positive attitude towards research, but the lack of knowledge and practical opportunities in the field of research does not open up the possibility for dental hygienists to engage in principles and capabilities of scientific activity, which can be provided in the future by launching a bachelor's programme at Riga Stradins University. For the systematic review of literature, the databases of EBSCO, ScienceDirect and ClinicalKey were used. The publications were searched for by the keywords: dental hygienist and career opportunities, as researcher, opportunities in research, as research personnel, role in research.
