The qualification work examined the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 virus in dentistry and oral manifestations, as well as the knowledge of adults about oral hygiene during a pandemic. The aim of the study was to investigate the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 virus, its manifestations in the mouth, as well as the knowledge of adults about oral hygiene during a pandemic. The knowledge of the population should be sufficient to reduce the transmission of the virus within the household. By taking appropriate epidemiological measures, the population can significantly reduce the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 virus within and outside the household. The author of the work tried to find out whether the knowledge is good enough. 91 respondents took part in the survey. According to the data obtained from the study, it can be concluded that the knowledge of adults about oral hygiene habits in Latvia is insufficient. Citizens do not know how to store and care for oral hygiene products properly. I also learned that SARS-CoV-2 can affect oral health, but these data are subjective. Nowadays, reducing the spread of the virus plays a very important role. In order for the public to have access to these oral care habits, it is more important that the public has more information about this, thus promoting the role of adults in promoting health. |
