Pacientu vērtējums un praktizējošu ambulatorās aprūpes māsu gatavības pašnovērtējums patstāvīgai recepšu medikamentu nozīmēšanai Latvijā

Abstract

Pētījums veikts par pacientu vērtējumu un praktizējošu ambulatorās aprūpes māsu gatavības pašnovērtējumu patstāvīgai recepšu medikamentu nozīmēšanai Latvijā. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot pacientu vērtējumu un praktizējošas ambulatorās māsas gatavības pašnovērtējumu patstāvīgai recepšu medikamentu nozīmēšanai Latvijā. Apkopojot pētījumus secināts, ka kompetenču paplašināšana medikamentu nozīmēšanā un recepšu izrakstīšanā paaugstinātu šo profesiju prestižu. Valstīs, kurās māsas nozīmē recepšu medikamentus, ambulatorā aprūpe kļuvusi pieejamāka un pacienti augstu novērtē māsas kompetences, kā arī uzticas māsu zināšanām medikamentu nozīmēšanā un ordinēšanā. Pētījumam tika izvirzīti sekojoši jautājumi: 1. Kāds ir pacientu vērtējums praktizējošas ambulatorās māsas patstāvīgai recepšu medikamentu nozīmēšanai Latvijā? 2. Kāds ir praktizējošas ambulatorās māsas gatavības pašnovērtējums patstāvīgai recepšu medikamentu nozīmēšanai Latvijā? 3. Kādi faktori ietekmē ambulatorās māsas gatavības pašnovērtējumu patstāvīgai recepšu medikamentu nozīmēšanai Latvijā. Apkopojot datus tika atbildēts uz viesiem pētījuma jautājumiem un mērķis tika sasniegts. Pētījuma mērķa sasniegšanā tika izmantots neeksperimentāls, kvantitatīvs pētījums. Pētījumā tika pielietotas elektroniski publicētas anketas pacientiem un māsām. Pētījuma dalībnieki bija 203 pacienti un 212 praktizējošas ambulatorās aprūpes māsas. Pētījuma rezultātos secināts, ka māsas ir gatavas nosūtīt pacientus uz izmeklējumiem, taču nejūtas pietiekami kompetentas izmeklēt pacientus fizikāli, savukārt pacienti tos uzskata par pietiekami drošiem. Kā arī tika izpētīts, ka pacientu un māsu viedoklis būtiski neatšķiras jautājumā par māsas izglītību recepšu medikamentu nozīmēšanā. Lai spriestu plašāk par pētījuma rezultātiem nepieciešams pētījumu veikt ilgākā laika periodā iekļaujot vairāk respondentus. Pētījums praktiski pielietojams veicot māsu un pacientu aptauju paplašinot māsu kompetences Latvijā. Atslēgas vārdi: māsa, māsu medikamentu izrakstīšana, pacients, kompetence, attieksme.

The research has been carried out about the patients’ assessment and self-assessment of practising outpatient care nurses’ readiness for independent prescription medication referral in Latvia. The goal of the research is to find out the patient’s assessment and self-assessment of practicing outpatient nurse’s readiness for independent prescription medication referral in Latvia. After collating the findings, it can be concluded that expanding of competences in medication referral and prescription writing would raise the prestige of the profession. In the countries, where nurses refer prescription medication, the outpatient care has become more accessible and patients appreciate highly nurse’s competences, as well as they rely on nurses’ knowledge on medication referral and administration. The following questions have been set for the research: 4. What is the patients’ assessment of the practicing outpatient nurse’s independent prescription medication referral in Latvia? 5. What is the self-assessment of the practicing outpatient nurse’s readiness for independent prescription medication referral in Latvia? 6. What factors influence the self-assessment of outpatient nurse’s readiness for independent prescription medication referral in Latvia? After the data have been collated, all questions have been answered and the goal achieved. In order to reach the goal, a non-experimental, quantitative study has been applied. In the research electronically published questionnaires for patients and nurses have been used. 203 patients and 212 practicing outpatient care nurses have participated in the research. In the research outcomes it has been concluded that nurses are ready to refer patients to examinations, but they do not feel sufficiently competent to examine patients physically. However, patients consider them as safe enough. Also, it has been found out that patients and nurses’ opinion does not differ significantly regarding the nurses’ education in prescription medication referral. In order to judge more profoundly about the outcomes, it is necessary to carry out the research in a longer period of time, including more respondents. The research can be practically applied when carrying out nurses and patients’ survey, extending nurses’ competences in Latvia.
