Emocionālās intelekts un attieksmes pret pacientu drošību stacionārā praktizējošām māsām

Abstract

ANOTĀCIJA Maģistra darba tēma “Emocionālais intelekts un attieksme pret pacientu drošību stacionārā praktizējošām māsām”. Pētījums tika veikts ar mērķi: novērtēt stacionārā praktizējošo māsu attieksmi pret pacienu drošības kultūru un tās saistību ar Emocionālo intelektu. Pētījuma izlasi veido 360 stacionāros praktizējošas māsas, ar vecuma intervālu no 21 līdz 70 gadiem, vidējais vecums izlasē ir 43 gadi, 68% māsu darba stāžs ir lielāks par 10 gadiem. Emocionālais intelekts tiek uzskatīts par veselības aprūpes profesionāļu kompetences pamatkritēriju un vienu no raksturīgākajām iezīmēm uz pacientu vērstā aprūpē. Māsa lielāko daļu laika pavada mijiedarbojoties ar pacientu, visi nemateriālie komunikācijas aspekti (ķermeņa valoda, uztvere, sejas izteiksme, balss tonis) atstāj lielu ietekmi uz to, kā attīstīsies māsas un pacienta mijiedarbība. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto pētījuma mērķi, un apstiprinātu hipotēzi, tika izmantota kvantitatīva pētniecības metode, tika izmantoti trīs pētniecības instrumenti: izlases demogrāfisko radītāju aptauja, Drošības attieksmes aptauja un Bar-On Emocionālā intelekta aptauja. Pētījumā iegūtie dati liecina, ka emocionālā intelekta rādītāji māsām ir samērā augsti, īpaši empātija, problēmu risināšana, sociālā atbildība, kas norāda, ka izlases māsām ir raksturīgas spējas apzināties un saprast kā jūtas citi, spēja konstruktīvi sadarboties ar citiem, sniedzot savu ieguldījumu, un spēja konstruktīvi risināt personiskās un starppersonu problēmas. Pētījumā tika konstatētas vairākas vidēji ciešas korelācijas starp Drošības attieksmes aptaujas skalu rādītājiem un Emocionālā intelekta aptaujas skalu rādītājiem. Maģistra darbā ir 5 attēli, 6 tabulas, tika izmantoti 56 literatūras avoti. Darba apjoms bez pielikumiem ir 44 lappuses, pielikumi 11 lappuses.

Theme of the master’s thesis is “Emotional intelligence and patient safety among registered nurses in the hospital”. Main goal of the research was to estimate registered nurses in the hospital attitude towards patient safety culture and its connection to the Emotional Intelligence. Study sample contains 360 registered nurses, age range is from 21 to 70 years old, average age is 43, 68% of the participants have work experience is more than 10 years. Emotional intelligence is considered as a basic criterion for the health care professionals and as one of the typical feature for the patient – centered care. Most of the work time nurse spends in the interaction with the patient, all of the non-materialistic communication aspects (body language, perception, visage, tone of voice). To achieve the goal of the research and to confirm the hypothesis, the quantitative research method was used, three queries were used in the research: demographic information query, security treatment query and Bar – On Emotional intelligence query. Obtained data from the research shows that level of the Emotional intelligence among nurses in high, especially empathy, problem solving, social responsibility, which shows that sample nurses have capability to be aware of and to understand how others feel, capability to cooperate constructively with others and to contribute, capability to constructively solve personal and interpersonal problems. During the research there were noted many moderately tight correlations between security treatment query scale indicators and Emotional intelligence scale indicators.
