Skolotāju izpratne un sociālie priekštati par supervīziju

Abstract

Maģistra darba ietvaros “Skolotāju izpratne un sociālie priekšstati par supervīziju” tika apkopotas teorētiskās atziņas par sociālajiem priekšstatiem (Moscovici, 1972, 1973, 1984; Mārtinsone, Levina & Hartmane,2017; Sammut, 2015), supervīzijas jēdzienu (Mārtinsone u.c., 2014; Mārtinsone & Mihailovs, 2017; Mihailovs, Zakriževska – Belogrudova & Rutka, 2020; Salvador, 2016), kā arī supervīzijas lomu skolotāju darba kvalitātes pilnveidē (Adu et.al., 2014; Scott, 1998). Pētījumā piedalījās 384 skolotāji, kuri aizpildīja autores izstrādāto aptaujas anketu “Skolotāju izpratne un sociālie priekšstati par supervīziju”, kurā bija iekļauti slēgtie jautājumi un atvērtais jautājums, kad respondentiem tika lūgts sniegt brīvās asociācijas. Pētījuma laikā iegūtie rezultāti, veicot datu kvantitatīvu apstrādi un brīvo asociāciju analīzes metodi, ļauj atbildēt uz pētījuma izvirzītajiem jautājumiem. Tika secināts, ka skolotāju zināšanas jeb izpratne par supervīziju nav pilnīga. Neskatoties uz to, ka lielākā daļa pētījumā iesaistīto skolotāju bija dzirdējuši par supervīziju, viņiem trūka padziļinātas izpratnes par supervīzijas metodēm un supervizora profesionālo darbību. Skolotājiem supervīzija galvenokārt asociējās ar atbalstu, sarunu, palīdzību un problēmu. Gandrīz pusei no pētījumā iesaistītajiem skolotājiem bija pieredze piedaloties supervīzijā, kas ietekmēja viņu sociālos priekšstatus par supervīziju. Skolotāji ar pieredzi labāk izprot to, ka supervīzija nesniedz gatavas atbildes uz skolotāja jautājumiem un gatavus risinājumus skolotāju problēmām, bet tas ir mērķtiecīgs savstarpējas mijiedarbības process starp skolotāju un supervizoru ar mērķi panākt uzlabojumus.

Within the framework of the Master's thesis “Teachers' Understanding and Social Representations of Supervision” theoretical findings on social representations (Moscovici, 1972, 1973, 1984; Martinsone, Levina & Hartmane, 2017; Sammut, 2015), the concept of supervision (Martinsone et.al., 2014; Martinsone & Mikhailov, 2017; Mikhailov, Zakrizevska – Belogrudova & Rutka, 2020; Salvador, 2016), as well as the role of supervision in improving the quality of teachers' work (Adu et.al., 2014; Scott, 1998) were summarized. The study involved 384 teachers who completed the questionnaire developed by the author "Teachers' Understanding and Social Representations of Supervision", which included closed-format questions and an open-format question where respondents were asked to provide free associations. The results obtained during the study, by performing quantitative data processing and method of analysis of free associations, allow answering the questions raised in the study. It was concluded that teachers' knowledge or understanding of supervision is incomplete. Even though most teachers involved in the study had heard of supervision, they lacked an in-depth understanding of the methods and the professional activities of the supervisor. Supervision for teachers was mainly associated with support, conversations, help, and problems. Nearly half of the teachers involved in the study had an experience of engaging in supervision, which influenced their social representations of supervision. Experienced teachers have a much better understanding that supervision does not provide ready-made answers to teacher questions and ready-made solutions to teacher problems, but that supervision is a purposeful process of interaction between the teacher and the supervisor with the aim of achieving improvement.
