A Case Study of Patient with FIRES and a Literature Review into its Treatment

Abstract

Šajā rakstā ir ziņots par FIRES epileptoģenēzi, klīnisko ainu un diagnostiku, galveno uzmanību pievēršot pētījumu apkopošanai, ziņojot par dažādām ārstēšanas metodēm, kas izmantotas ar febrilu infekciju saistītā epileptiskā stāvokļa (FIRES) ārstēšanā, to darbības mehānismu un pacienta iznākumu. Pētījuma un gadījuma ziņojuma mērķis ir apkopot informāciju un noskaidrot, kuras ārstēšanas metodes pacientiem ar FIRES piedāvā vislabāko rezultātu, kā arī uzlabot izpratni par slimību agrīnākai diagnostikai. Šis pētījums ir literatūras apskats un klīniskā gadījuma ziņojums. Dati ziņojumam tika apkopoti, izmantojot Bērnu klīniskās universitātes slimnīcas tiešsaistes datu bāzi.

This paper reports on the epileptogenesis, clinical picture and diagnostics of FIRES, with a focus on compiling studies reporting various treatments used for Febrile Infection Related Status Epilepticus (FIRES), their mechanism of action and patient outcomes. The aim of the study and case report is to gather information and report which treatments offer the best outcome for patients in FIRES, and to increase the awareness of the disease for early diagnosis. This study is a literature review and a case report. Data for the case report was collected using the Children’s Clinical University Hospital online database.
