H.pylori Infection and Extragastrointestinal Diseases. Literature Review

Abstract

Literatūras apskatā ir tuvāk aplūkota baktērijas H. pylori ietekme uz trim ekstragastro zarnu trakta slimībām. Trīs ekstragastrointestinālās izpausmes ir imūnā trombocitopēniskā purpura, dzelzs deficīta anēmija un astma. Tā apsver, vai ir izdevīgi ārstēt H. pylori infekciju ITP un IDA gadījumā, lai panāktu labāko terapeitisko iznākumu no abām slimībām, un vai H. pylori infekcijai bērnībā ir aizsargājoša iedarbība pret astmas attīstību, galvenokārt bērniem / pusaudžiem. Pēc īsa paša Helicobacter pylori un trīs minēto slimību raksturojuma es aprakstīju Helicobacter ietekmi uz patoģenēzi, kam seko literatūras apskats.

The literature review presents a closer look regarding the influence of the bacterium H. pylori onto three extragastrointestinal diseases. The three extragastrointestinal manifestations are Immune thrombocytopenic purpura, Iron deficiency anemia and asthma. It considers if it is beneficial to treat a H. pylori infection in case of ITP and IDA for the best therapeutic outcome of the two diseases and if an infection with H. pylori in the childhood has a protective effect against the development of asthma, primarily in children/ adolescents. After a brief characterisation of Helicobacter pylori itself and the three diseases mentioned, I describe the influence of Helicobacter on the pathogenesis, followed by the review of the literature.
