Vizuāli plastiskās mākslas terapijas izvērtēšanas instrumenta MEPL kognitīvā – simboliskā līmeņa precizētu pazīmju kritēriju izstrāde

Abstract

Maģistra darbs tiek balstīts uz mākslas ekspresijas pakāpenisko līmeņu (MEPL) modeli, kura autore ir latviešu izcelsmes ASV emeritētā profesore PhD, ART-BC, HLM Vija Bergs Lusebrinka (Vija Bergs Lusebrink). MEPL modelis turpina attīstīties, ņemot vērā pēdējos neirozinātnes atklājumus. Balstoties uz MEPL modeli, Latvijā tiek izstrādāts MEPL izvērtēšanas instruments RSU maģistra studijas ‘’Mākslas terapija’’ vairākos maģistra darbu ietvaros. Pie MEPL izvērtēšanas instrumenta ir veikts secīgs darbs darba grupās. Šis maģistra darbs tapis sadarbojoties ceturtajai MEPL darba grupai. Maģistra darba “Vizuāli plastiskās mākslas terapijas izvērtēšanas instrumenta MEPL kognitīvā-simboliskā līmeņa precizētu pazīmju kritēriju izstrāde” mērķis ir pilnveidot MEPL izvērtēšanas instrumentu ar precizētiem pazīmju kritērijiem un to aprakstiem kognitīvajā-simboliskajā līmenī. Maģistra darbā tiek izvirzīti četri pētnieciskie jautājumi: 1. Kādi ir jaunizveidotie MEPL izvērtēšanas instrumenta kritēriji kognitīvajā-simboliskajā līmenī? 2. Kāds ir mākslas terapeitu-ekspertu vērtējums par jaunizveidoto kritēriju saprotamību un kāda ir šo vērtējumu saskaņotība? 3. Kādus precizējumus ir nepieciešams veikt MEPL izvērtēšanas instrumenta jaunizveidotajiem kritērijiem un to aprakstiem? 4.Kāda ir mākslas terapeitu-ekspertu MEPL izvērtēšanas instrumenta kritēriju saskaņotība? Pētījums tika veikts vairākos posmos – sagatavošanās posmā tika veikta literatūras analīze, un MEPL 4. darba grupas ietvaros tika izvirzīti potenciālās pazīmes, kritēriji un to paskaidrojumi kognitīvajā-simboliskajā līmenī. Pētījuma pirmajā posmā mākslas terapeiti-eksperti gan no Latvijas, gan ASV, piedalījās jaunizveidoto pazīmju, to kritēriju un paskaidrojumu saprotamības novērtēšanā ar anketas palīdzību. Balstoties uz mākslas terapeitu-ekspertu komentāriem, tika veikti nepieciešamie labojumi sākotnēji izstrādātajām pazīmēm, kritērijiem un to paskaidrojumiem. Pētījuma otrajā posmā mākslas terapeiti-eksperti izvērtēja viena praktiski vesela pieaugušā klienta MEPL izvērtēšanas instrumenta sesijas video ierakstu pēc MEPL izvērtēšanas instrumenta anketas, kam tika pievienotas jaunizveidotās pazīmes un kritēriji. Pētījuma rezultātā tika izstrādātas divas jaunas pazīmes kognitīvajā dimensijā – abstrakcija un klienta/pacienta verbālā refleksija, kā arī trīs jaunas pazīmes simboliskajā dimensijā – simbola nozīme; simbola izpēte; metafora. Ņemot vērā pētījuma rezultātus pēc mākslas terapeitu-ekspertu MEPL izvērtēšanas sesijas video ieraksta, 36 no 64 kritērijiem ir izcila ekspertu vērtējumu procentuālā saskaņotība. Joprojām ir nepieciešams veikt labojumus pārējiem kritērijiem, kuriem ļoti laba vai laba vērtētāju saskaņotība. Šī pētījuma rezultātā MEPL izvērtēšanas instrumenta rokasgrāmata tiks papildināta ar jaunām pazīmēm un kritērijiem kognitīvajā-simboliskajā līmenī, līdz ar to dodot iespēju mākslas terapeitiem daudz precīzāk izvērtēt klientu/pacientu resursus un grūtības.

Master's thesis is based on the Expressive Therapies Continuum (ETC) model by US Professor Emerita, PhD, ATR-BC, HLM Vija Bergs Lusebrink, born in Latvia. The ETC model continues to evolve in the light of recent neuroscience discoveries. Based on the ETC model, an ETC assessment tool is being developed in Latvia within the framework of several master's theses of the RSU master's study program "Art Therapy". Successive work on the ETC assessment tool has been carried out in working groups. This research is the result of the collaboration of the ETC Working Group No. 4. The aim of the master's thesis "The Development of Criteria for the Supplemented Features of the Cognitive - Symbolic Level of the Visual Plastic Art Therapy Assessment Tool ETC" is to improve the ETC assessment tool with more accurately defined criteria of features and their descriptions at the cognitive-symbolic level. Four research questions are raised in the master's thesis: 1. What are the newly developed criteria of the ETC assessment tool at the cognitive-symbolic level? 2. What is the assessment of art therapists-experts on the comprehensibility of the newly developed criteria, and what is the coherence of these assessments? 3. What clarifications of the newly developed criteria and their descriptions of the ETC assessment tool are necessary? 4. What is the coherence of the art therapists-experts' assessment of the ETC assessment tool's criteria? The research was carried out in several stages. During the preparatory stage, the literature analysis was performed, and within the framework of the ETC Working Group No. 4, the potential features, criteria, and their explanations were identified at the cognitive-symbolic level. During the first stage of the research, art therapists-experts from both Latvia and the USA, who are familiar with the ETC model and assessment tool, participated in the assessment of the comprehensibility of the newly developed features, their criteria, and explanations via a questionnaire. Based on art therapists-experts' comments, the necessary adjustments were made to the initially developed features, criteria, and their explanations. During the second stage of the research, art therapists-experts assessed the video recording of one practically healthy adult client's ETC assessment tool session according to the ETC assessment tool questionnaire, to which the newly developed features and criteria were added. As a result of the research, 2 new features of the cognitive dimension were developed - abstraction and client/patient verbal reflection, as well as 3 new features of the symbolic dimension - the meaning of the symbol; symbol research; metaphor. Considering the research results following the video recording of the ETC assessment session of art therapists-experts, 36 out of the 64 criteria have an excellent percentage of expert assessments (joint-probability of agreement). It is still necessary to correct the other criteria for which very good or go
