Implantation and Simultaneously Bone Grafting

Abstract

Vienlaicīga implantācija un kaulu palielināšana pēdējos gados ir kļuvusi arvien populārāka. Implantu terapijas sākumā implantācijas tika veiktas tikai tad, kad kauls ir pilnībā atjaunojies. Pateicoties vairākām kaulu potēšanas metodēm un implantēšanas iespējām, šī procedūra acīmredzami kļuva veiksmīga un pacientam ir ērtāka, jo samazināta ķirurģiska iejaukšanās, samazināts pacientu diskomforts, labāka funkcija un patīkama estētika. Neskatoties uz to, tam ir iespējamas komplikācijas, kas var izraisīt neskaidrības starp pacientiem un ķirurgiem, un tas ir pienācīgi jānovērtē. Šajā darbā tiks pieminēta vienlaicīga kaulu potēšanas un implantēšanas procedūra, vairāki kaulu palielināšanas veidi, paņēmieni un materiāli, kur ir iespējams nekavējoties implantēt. Īsāk sakot, vienlaicīga implantēšana pacientiem ir iespējama, ja vien tiek ievēroti vairāki piesardzības pasākumi un pacients ir motivēts turpināt implantāta uzturēšanu.

Simultaneous implantation and bone augmentation has been growing in popularity over the past years. At the beginning of the implant therapy, implantations was only performed when the bone has been completely regenerated. Due to multiple bone grafting techniques and implantation possibilities, this procedure became evidently successful and is more convenient for the patient due to the reduced surgical intervention, a decreased patients discomfort, better function and a pleasant aesthetics. Nevertheless, it comes with possible complications which may cause confusion among patients and surgeons, and needs to be properly assessed. This thesis is going to mention the procedure of simultaneous bone grafting and implantation, several bone augmentation types, techniques and materials where an immediate implantation is achievable. In short, simultaneous implantation in patients is overall possible as long as several precautions are followed and the patient is motivated to about the further maintenance of the implant.
