Indications for Histerectomy in RECUH Gynecology Clinic

Abstract

Histerektomija ir viena no biežāk veiktajām liela apjoma ginekoloģiskajām operācijām. Biežākās histerektomijas iemesli ir dažādas labdabīgas un ļaundabīgas ginekoloģiskas saslimšanas. Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt un apkopot, Rīgas Austrumu klīniskās universitātes slimnīcas Ginekoloģijas nodaļā izdarīto histerektomiju indikācijas un salīdzināt iegūtos rezultātus ar literatūras datiem. Šķērsgriezuma pētījums tika iekļautas 124 sievietes, kurām tika veikta histerektomija Rīgas Austrumu klīniskās universitātes slimnīcā un atlasītas pēc konkrētiem iekļaušanas un izslēgšanas kritērijiem. Datus ieguva, veicot anonīmu aptauju un tos apstrādāja ar Microsoft Excel un IBM SPSS programmatūru. Rezultāti sekojoši salīdzināti ar literatūras datiem. Galvenās indikācijas histerektomijai Rīgas Austrumu klīniskās universitātes slimnīcā bija dzemdes mioma, dzemdes noslīdējums un endometrija hiperplāzija. Lielākai daļai pacientu tika veikta subtotāla histerektomija un biežākais pieejas veids operācijai bija laparoskopija. Aptuveni puse pacienšu bija saņēmušas iepriekšēju ārstēšanu.

Hysterectomy is the most common non-obstetric large surgical procedure performed on women. It consists of the removal of the uterus, the cervix, and sometimes of Fallopian tubes and ovaries as well. Main indications are a variety of benign and malignant diseases. The aim of the research was to investigate the indications for hysterectomy and operative practices at Riga East Clinical University Hospital Gynaecology Ward and to compare them with existing literature. The study was a cross-sectional study, including 124 female patients undergoing hysterectomy, treated and operated at Riga East Clinical University Hospital Gynaecology ward and selected with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data was collected through an anonymous written questionnaire and it was analysed with Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS. The results were then compared with existing literature. The main indications for hysterectomy at Riga East Clinical University Hospital Gynaecology ward were found to be Leiomyomas, Uterine prolapse and Endometrial hyperplasia. The majority of patients underwent subtotal hysterectomy. Most patients were operated via laparoscopic route. Most patients had undergone previous treatment for their primary disease.
