Cukura diabēta pacientu informētība par insulīna injekcijas tehniku

Abstract

Kvalifikācijas darbā tika izpētīta pacientu ar cukura diabētu informētība par insulīna injekcijas tehniku, darba autore Žanna Maruņaka. Pēc Pasaules Veselības Organizācijas (PVO) datiem ar diabētu visā pasaulē slimo ļoti daudz cilvēku. Prognozē, ka 2030. gadā cukura diabēts būs septītais visbiežākais nāves iemesls slimības dēļ (PVO, 2018). Lai pārvarētu insulīna terapijas šķēršļus, diabēta pacientiem, kas veic insulīna injekcijas, jābūt pietiekami informētiem un izglītotiem par pareizu insulīna injekcijas tehniku, lai nebūtu komplikāciju. Kvalifikācijas darba mērķis - izvērtēt cukura diabēta pacientu informētību par insulīna injekcijas tehniku. Kvalifikācijas darba jautājums - Kāda ir cukura diabēta pacientu informētība par insulīna injekcijas tehniku? Kvalifikācijas darba izstrādē darba autore izmantoja kvantitatīvo metodi - anketēšanu. Šī pētījuma metode ir izvēlēta, lai īsā laika periodā vairāk iegūtu datus, kas labāk ļautu izprast pētījuma rezultātu. Datu iegūšanas instruments ir anketa ar 21 jautājumu par pētāmo tēmu. Tika veikts kvantitatīvs pētījums. Anketa izstrādāta, balstoties uz zinātniskās literatūras avotu izpēti. Pētījumā piedalījās 100 (55 sievietes un 45 vīrieši) respondenti ar 1. un 2. tipa cukura diabētu vecuma posmā no 18 gadiem, kuri veic insulīna injekcijas. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto darba mērķi, realizēti šādi pētījuma uzdevumi: veikta literatūras apkopošana un analizēšana par cukura diabēta pacientu informētību par insulīna injekcijas tehniku, veikta pētījuma programmas sagatavošana, dalībnieku novērtēšana, iegūto rezultātu apkopošana un analīze, datu apstrāde, secinājumu un priekšlikumu sagatavošana. Galvenie pētījuma rezultāti un secinājumi: Lielākajai daļai pacientu ir komplikācijas pēc insulīna injekcijām, jo nav pietiekošas informācijas par insulīna injekcijas tehniku. Iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka pacienti nav pietiekoši informēti, kā pareizi veikt insulīna injekcijas. Iegūto rezultātu praktiskā pielietojamība - Iegūtos rezultātus var izmantot pacienti ar 1. un 2. tipa cukura diabētu, kuri veic insulīna injekcijas, lai iegūtu vairāk zināšanu par insulīna injekciju tehniku un dažādām komplikācijām, kas var rasties, neievērojot insulīna injekciju pamatprincipus, par kuriem ir aprakstīts autores pētījumā. Tāpat iegūtos datus var izmantot Diabēta biedrības, lai informētu savus pacientus un lai veidotu izglītojošus bukletus, zinātniskus rakstus kādā medicīniskā žurnālā.

In the qualification work, the awareness of patients with diabetes about the insulin injection technique was studied, the author of the work is Jeanne Marunaka. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), diabetes affects a large number of people around the world. Diabetes is projected to be the seventh most common cause of death in 2030 (WHO, 2018). To overcome barriers to insulin therapy, diabetic patients injecting insulin should be well informed and educated about proper insulin injection technique to avoid complications. The aim of the qualification paper is to evaluate the awareness of diabetic patients about insulin injection technique. Qualification Job Question - What is the awareness of diabetic patients about insulin injection technique? In the development of the qualification paper, the author used a quantitative method - questionnaire. This research method has been chosen to obtain more data in a short period of time, which would allow better understanding of the research result. The data acquisition tool is a questionnaire with 21 questions on the research topic. A quantitative study was performed. The questionnaire was developed based on the research of scientific literature sources. The study included 100 (55 women and 45 men) respondents with type 1 and type 2 diabetes aged 18 years who received insulin injections. In order to achieve the set goal, the following research tasks were implemented: literature collection and analysis on diabetes patients' awareness of insulin injection technique, preparation of research program, evaluation of participants, collection and analysis of results, data processing, preparation of conclusions and proposals. Key Findings and Conclusions of the Study: Most patients have complications following insulin injections due to insufficient information on insulin injection techniques. The results show that patients are not well informed about how to inject their insulin properly. Practical applicability of the obtained results - The obtained results can be used by patients with type 1 and 2 diabetes who inject insulin to gain more knowledge about insulin injection technique and various complications that may occur without following the basic principles of insulin injection described in in the author's study. The data obtained can also be used by Diabetes Societies to inform their patients and to create educational booklets, scientific articles in a medical journal.
